My family ventured to this place yesterday evening, 8/2/22. I was a s****** We had received gift certificates - so why not!!! I read the reviews And saw the average ratings less than 3 stars. The adventurer in me thought try any way! Well, too bad. The parking lot had 3 cars and there were 12 people in the restaurant when we entered....6 were patrons like us! It was dinner rush hour!! Our server, Donald, was EXCELLENT! Our kids loved the cornbread muffins and my husband said the chicken was "ok," not too bad....the menu is deceiving with the pick 1-2-3 add a 4th per perception of a deal! We paid $24+ tax for a glorified kids meal split between my husband and I! One of our daughters returned her grilled chicken salad. Can't repeat her opinion here! When the "kids meal arrived," it was lukewarm at best. I had to physically return it to the kitchen as the dining room was suddenly empty! Out two other kiddos had burgers that were also just okay. For the expense of dining out, gift cards or not, won't return and don't recommend you go either. Many blessings!

The brisket is really good. I remember the portions of meat to be larger. The image shows the 3 meat selection! One meat would not have been enough. The sides are nothing special at all. The side salad was much better than the potato salad. Great server, she was tipped well.

Even the decor it highly corporate and the food is just as bad. Yuuup! It's one of those! Service: Few pictures, and little information all with good corporate reason. Don't let the customer's see or know what they are ordering! Meal: The meal itself was not good. Where to start... Let's start with my ribs, if you can call them that. a laughable serving size of 4 ribs, but you can add more at 5$ per 2 ribs! thats right, forget the rack, its all pre-cut, reheated, over-sauced "meat". The claim of 3-4 hours cooked? sure, but then shipped in boil bags much like Sysco food from the public school system. Nothing fresh here! The over-the-top sauce is a poor attempt to hide just how little skill and quality they actually have. The wife's burger? well, take the bun off. The thing was so stale and old it wasn't worth eating, nor was the rest of her burger. Famous fries? what they mean is unseasoned, wedged of potato with more in common with mash potatoes than anything "famous" Finally. Can we please discuss how 1 single head of Broccoli is NOT a side portion? Yes, its "bigger" but lets get real. Pricing: $$$$$$ Take your Money else where. The 6 thin, dry yet sauced ribs in the pictures set me back over 22$ alone. Maybe the 12$ burger that is near impossible to eat is worth it to you... Overall: A solid 0.5/10 - Go somewhere else. That's right. MY LOWEST SCORE EVER. Congratulations! What Famous Dave's has done to BBQ is a down right DISGRACE! Now I will do something i almost never do, and suggest a restaurant from another post... that's right, it's THAT BAD! Yelp search up Squeler's BBQ, they have a few locations, local to Indiana, and actually care about their food and customers. ~FH

Visited after prime lunch time on a Thursday. Sign posted by the door alerted patrons that the restaurant is understaffed (like many places) so there could be a delay in getting your food. The parking lot was nearly empty after the lunch crowd had departed. I decided to get a carryout deal from the family menu. Spare ribs, rib tips and shredded chicken were my choices with no sides. Used the order for a gathering later. Took about 5-10 minutes before my order was ready. Ribs and tips were decent. The chicken had not been Shredded all the way. Ample supply of bbq sauce packets provided. A sign said to check your order before leaving which is what I did. Order was correct. Packed decently in 3 separate containers placed in one big bag. A good source for bbq food when you don't want to cook.

Everything was just as delicious as it looks in the photo! My server, Cassandra, was very attentive and provided an exceptional experience. The kitchen staff was fast. I couldn't believe how fast my meal came to my table. Everything was hot and tasty. Bravo, Famous Dave's!

Food was fantastic. Service was horrible. Had the ribs and chicken. Both were done perfectly and tasted great. Hostess almost seemed annoyed she had to stop playing on her phone seat us. Sat for 15 waiting for our server just to order. After food came out we never saw him again. Finished the meal waited another 20 min. Finally gave up and asked someone to go find our server so we could pay. Wasn't even busy. Only 2 others tables. On the way out hostess and another server playing on their phones.

Great food, Excellent service provided by our server Angelica who did amazing considering it was a party of 9, and best of all we got seated within 15 minutes upon arrival. Now a few years ago my wife and I had a terrible experience here. But with the time passed this establishment has certainly improved on everything in spades. Famous Dave's BBQ is back baby and better than ever!!!!

Love this place. The food has so much flavor. We enjoyed the Catfish Fingers and the smoked chicken. The smoked chicken can stand on its' own without the sauce. The cornbread muffins are almost desert.The service was fast and friendly.Coke products.
