This location is closed. I attempted to edit the location as Temporarily Closed, as that is what the sign on the front door states. Google did not accept the edit even though there is a photo from 8 months ago stating the location is Temporarily Closed. I uploaded photos showing the Steak 'n Shake signage removed, including the sign on the front door

Yuck is all i got to say. Dirty floors, just gross overall. Mediocre food, slow service. All of them are the same.. I see this one is close. Why am i not even surprised???

We walked into the restaurant about 8:00 PM on a Friday evening and about half of the tables were full. All of the empty tables were setting full of previous customers leftovers. The floor was covered with everything from napkins to French fries even into the kitchen area that was in view. We stood there a few minutes waiting to be seated, while 4 or 5 employees appeared to be doing nothing and then made a decision to leave. The restaurant was filthy , and we wouldn't have felt comfortable eating here. Pretty sure we won't be returning. There's a time when you have to ask yourself, if the viewable area is this trashed then how dirty is the food prep area?

I'd give this place zero stars if I could. Every time we go here theres always a wait to be seated. Always a wait for a server to come to our table. Always a long wait for our food ETC. It's been a few months since we ate here & we were hoping maybe they got some new help, NOPE. Same situation every time we come here. They're severely understaffed. It's just ridiculous. They need some new management to come in and train the whole restaurant. It bugs me so bad when a restaurant is busy and yet the staff is walking around with their heads in the clouds. People waiting to be seated at the door and it'll take them a whole 12 minutes to clear off a singular booth. You can tell customer service is not a priority here.

This place is amazing with great prices. Really upsets me that the only one still open is in Huber Heights. Still a great place to eat if you are around Huber Heights.

Steak and shake has great burgers/shakes of all varieties and between 3-5 p.m. is Happy Hour and shakes are half price!

Currently closed for an undetermined amount of time...remodel and refranchising. Before they closed, they were always short on staff, but food was always served hot and fresh and the majority of the time very quickly.

Decent quality food. Decent customer service. I think it's much better than any McDonald's I have visited.
The shakes and steak burgers are amazing. I got the garlic steak burger with a mint Oreo shake. It was awesome. 10/10

Only messed up our order one time, in the year I was living in Richmond. Friendly staff for the most part, and reasonably prompt service, depending on the time of week, and how you place your order...either online for pick up, or in person. Wait times to be seated, are usually very short.

AVOID THE DRIVE THRU. We were travelling through and stopped to go through the drive thru. They told us twice that we would need to wait to place our order because they were kind of busy. Same thing when we got to the window. It took at least 20 minutes. Ridiculous. And there was not another single car in line during that whole time. Apparently, everyone else knows not to bother. If you aren't staffed for a drive thru, you shouldn't have one. Food was decent, but definitely not worth the wait.
