“We love Brewhouse and visit at least a couple times per month. They rotate their drink menu, there are always good local options (e.g., IPAs, Stouts, Lagers, Sours, Ciders), and they have a nice outdoor seating area that can be used during the warmer months. The bartenders are nice and playful and their food menu includes some clearly identified vegan options. They also have a couple of old arcade games you can play for free and have a bingo night, which is fun.“
“We ate there with friends for dinner. We were seated right away; this is a very big place. It is very well kept and very old school in every way. The service was top notch with very attentive wait staff.I ordered the Sliced Roast Turkey, and my wife went with the Chicken and Lake Perch Combo. My Turkey was good, though slightly on the dry side but the gravy helped with that. The dressing and potatoes were good.My wife’s dinner was very large, and she said it all tasted good. She didn’t agree with the reviews about the chicken being the best, but she said it was fine. Next time she will just get the Perch because that was fantastic. If you want an old school restaurant that will remind you of the olden days, this is the one for you.“
“Z was great, she was friendly and fast and had good recommendations. Can’t compliment the food enough, quality meal is all I can say. So good and FRESH! Patrons next to me were ND fans which was easy to spark up convos and they were regulars. Very nice friendly atmosphere! Will be coming here again!“
“I've moved from the area so I dont' come here as often but wanted to give them a shout out. I really like this place. It's an extra bonus when the weather is nice and you can sit outside. They food is decent and they have a great selection of specialty beers. My favorite is the Toffee beer they offer I believe it's for a limited time. They also have live bands. Service if fast and friendly and the atmosphere is family friendly as well. Grab your family or go out with some friends, this is a great place to dine, gather and enjoy some music as well. Cheers!“
“Came here for a celebration gathering. We ordered the wings and pizza.Wings were not bad. Heavily breaded, if you like that, soaked in sauce. The issue was that the breading became pretty soggy from the sauce. Can't complain, though... they're chicken wings.Langels pizza... never have a complaint about it.Service was decent, but for the number of people in attendance and only 2 bartenders, it was slow.Had a good time and will return.“
“The food is excellent, the atmosphere ?? we were a group of 15 people and we had a very bad experience with the waitress, the restaurant does not close at 10 at night and I admit it, obviously it took longer and the girl got upset, we ordered some more margaritas He didn't bring them to us anymore, he brought us the bill and said that it was time to close the restaurant. Obviously I understand but they had never kicked me out of a restaurant. It was the first time that it was a very bad experience but other than that everything was very good. The food. atmosphereParking: The very large parking lot really has too much“
“I love how they had a large selection of choices that you don't typically see at other Italian restaurants! I also loved how some of the pasta was homemade, which was a huge plus for me! I can see myself going back, as well as recommending this place to all of my family and friends.“
“First time going here, and we will definitely come back again. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, great drinks, delicious food. The cherry pop margarita was new to me, and I loved it. They went down smooth and fast. The chicken tortilla soup was great, clear broth vs. the usual red broth but still yummy. The chips and salsa had a nice flavor. The burrito was large, and the steak fajita quesadilla was flavorful. We will definitely be back“
“I absolutely love the self-serve/pay by volume system here. I had never been anywhere like this, and it is so much fun to be able to try as many different beers as you like. Plus, the food is great and everyone is very welcoming. Can't wait to come back!“
“My husband and I came to the lighthouse for our anniversary dinner. We had an amazing experience. The food was fantastic and the service was even better. Kelli was such a fun and loveable waitress. She was so friendly and really made our time out fun and enjoyable. She made sure we had everything we needed and enjoyed our anniversary. She really made the whole entire experience. The Lighthouse restaurant is lucky to have such a great waitress!!“
“Amazing food! Sunday’s there’s a big buffet and everything we had was delicious and fresh. The atmosphere felt like I was back in the Philippines. They even have karaoke!!! Too bad we live 5 hrs away but totally worth the drive. Will be our main Filipino spot from here on out. The owners were so kind and welcoming. Wanted to stay longer but we had a long drive. Highly recommend to Filipino’s that want to not only to eat authentic filipino food, but also for the vibe. 10/10!!!“
“Very cozy bar atmosphere. Was there during the Christmas Season and it was decorated beautifully! Very friendly staff! I had an amazing Ginger Chicken Bowl. The chicken was flavorful and moist and I enjoyed every bite! I will order this again soon.“
“We went here on a Friday evening. Fairly full, but had a few open tables. We had several plates since this was our first time here. The service was great. Our server brought the food out in stages, so we didn't have it all at once, which was smart. We started with the chicken flautas (4 per order). Not overpoweringly spicy, mild, very good. Next, we had the Classic Fries. The garlic/parmesan drizzle made a nice compliment to the fries and the tomatillo salsa was a surprising compliment as well. Next plate was the shrimp tacos. I am NOT a fan of any fishy taco, but these were the best I've ever had. I would probably order them again they were so good. We ended with the King Crab Dip, which is served hot and takes about 30 minutes to prepare. Again, very good. Drinks: I started with an Old Fashioned, which was good; however, it was in a glass full of ice cubes. Many times they are served with one big cube, but generally not a glass full of ice. I can't recall the other drinks we had, but they were all very good. It is a very nice, small place inside. Well decorated. Since we were there on a Friday, it was a bit noisy. Music a bit loud. Ignore the baseball cap dress code thing; not enforced (not me!). Nice to ask, but it's Indiana. People aren't walking in here in suits and sport coats. Definitely would like to come back during the week. Great little place.“
“My friends and I came here to try the karaoke. Karaoke was great. DJ was friendly and fun. Whiskey sours were damn delish. Bartenders constantly checked on us. Garlic knots were BOMB. Place was packed and we did not feel left out at all. People were friendly. Good place. Would come back again. Park across the street.“
“First time there, a couple days ago. This place is great, good vibes, super friendly people best place I've been to in a long time. The bartender the drinks, are awesome and music is great. Can't wait to go back.my new favorite place when I'm in “
“Pablo's Cafe is a true gem, Dolton should be proud of. The Establishment is Clean, Safe and has a Cool Atmosphere. The staff is friendly, helpful, honest and respectful to the customers. Thank y'all from South Jersey!Viva Pablo'“
“Doc's is the kind of place where you've got people from out of town in, and they want BBQ. And you want a huge variety of tap craft beers . Or you want to go there just for the beer. Surprisingly, they also have a huge whiskey selection as well. Oh, the BBQ, very good. Pig wings are flash fried smoked wings. They are fantastic. Everything else is wonderful, brisket, pulled pork and the sides. All at a reasonable price. Service.... Staff is very knowledgeable, especially the bartender who knows a thing or two about the liquor he serves. Great place ??“
“I love this place, good food and not too expensive. The view and outside seating is awesome. I have one big problem though. Your water is terrible! It seems like you use the same water in the fountain drinks too. Tastes awful, and has some side effects if you know what I mean. Other people I know have had the same issue. We all know Cedar lake water is bad. Please get a better water treatment system.“
“I want to personally thank the owner and ALL of the staff at Que's Lounge..They made sure my sister's 60th birthday party was a success.. They were professional, friendly, and made sure we got everything we needed.. Excellent!!!Count it all Joy...Thank you so much ❤️“
“I'm a huge fan of the local go to bars that have great service along with great patrons and the Old Glory Tavern has both. Cool little corner bar that doesn't look like much from the outside but has everything on the inside! I'm from out of town and glad I stopped in, felt very welcomed. I'd give this place 10 stars ✨ if Google would allow it just for the Red Baron Pizzas served back on top of the original card board box! I LOVE IT!!“
“Very authentic tasting food. Wide variety of selections on the menu. Very festive and inviting ambiance. Service was super friendly and very attentive. We had camarones a la diabla, a nicely and comfortably spicy shrimp in tomato sauce. Also had a cheese and spinach enchilada. Spinach one was a bit too salty but they quickly offered to make it right or take it off the bill which was nice. If in the area we will visit again.“
“I've been wanting to stop in this place in the old village of Brunswick for some time. Yelp reports this as closed, but it's open and the hours on this page are accurate. I finally made it here last night. Brunswick is an old German settlement that was founded in the mid 1800's. It's about two miles west of Cedar Lake/US 41, along 133rd/135th Avenue. The tavern sits at the southeast corner of 135th and Calumet Avenue. You can tell that the building is very old, but kept in very nice condition. We arrived around 6:30 PM, came in through the back door and settled up to the old bar. The owners were watching TV at the bar, waiting to serve those who came in. The menu is very simple: a good selection of domestic bottles (Miller, Bud, Coors, etc.) and a few imports (Grolsch, Warsteiner). The owners were very nice and we talked about the history of the tavern and Brunswick. According to the owner, this has been a continually-operated tavern since 1856, when it served as a stop for stagecoach travel. The tavern was very clean and had a lot of neat, old swag including a vintage Old Style light fixture. Beers were reasonably priced. It doesn't appear they serve anything but bottled/canned beer and lemonade, but definitely worth the stop for a cold beer. I'll be back next time I'm in the area!“
“Exactly what I was looking for in a bar. The bartender Nicki was a multitasking machine and had an awesome attitude. Food was perfect bar food with an assortment of sauces that will keep me coming back. Free coney buffet during halftime of the bears game too! Oh and the sausage man showed up and I left with $20 worth of cheeses so all around great experience. I'll be back.“
“The first thing you notice when you enter is the décor. It has tools, mechanical and engine parts decorated throughout the place. The bar is long with plenty of seating and yes it's loaded with tools on the seats and even embedded in the actual bar. In the afternoon the place is packed with regulars and it is real clicky. If you're not with the in crowd, wait a few visits and you will eventually be accepted amongst the rest of the tools. The south end of the bar is called skid row and the north end is considered contractors row. I'm convinced that if you take a picture in there on any weekday and come back a month later it would look identical. The warm weekends attract a lot of bikers and it's a frequent stop for bike runs and bar crawls. The bartenders are worth the visit. Jo who works in the afternoon on Sat. is the moneymaker for the bar, she's supermodel hot and a pro at her craft. You can find T (who is also hot), working weekday afternoons running her lip like a truck driver while pretending to manage the place. A few other hotties are scattered throughout different night shifts and the owner even pops in from time to time to show the bartenders how easy it is to be super nice to people, but they never listen. Overall, this bar has a legendary cast of characters with funny nick names who have been regulars for a decade. I go to enjoy some of the funniest daytime drama to start off my Saturdays.“
“We chose Theo’s to celebrate our Anniversary, and we were not disappointed. Our waiter was Arthur, and he was very knowledgeable about the menu, food preparation, and delightfully accommodating and personable. My medium rare filet mignon was cooked to perfection, and the baked potato, broccoli and carrots, and burgundy mushrooms were excellent accompaniments. My husband, who loves salmon but hesitates to order it out, was very happy with his choice of the Faroe Island salmon. After questioning Arthur about the method of preparation, my husband chose to have it grilled, which was a very good choice. You certainly won’t leave Theo’s hungry. We took a lot of food home. Overall, a positive two thumbs up experience!Parking: Theo’s has parking in the front, along the side, and it back of the restaurant. You’d have to call to find out if they have valet parking or available parking nearby.“
“I really enjoy this place, the music was on point, the bartender was awesome, the atmosphere was great, the food was good I just wish it had more lemon pepper, but overall I really like this place and every time I'm up that way I'll be at Fly Nation “
“One of my old haunts from the late '80s / 90s from the Cal City bar era there used to be one on every corner wally was introduced as the owner and did a fine job running the bar wish I didn't wait so long to stop back inParking: There's parking along the side of the building and then back of the lot very convenient“
“Got some tacos here and leg me tell you. This salsa is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Best I have ever had! Got a side of fries also! It is to die for! Service was fast, good, and friendly! I drove from michigan city to here after a gym workout and it was 100% worth it. *I got BBQ pork and Coleslaw tacos which were “
“Went out for a day trip today with no plans. Found this place in a Google search and decided to try it. I'm glad we did. As you can see in the picture, it looks and is delicious! I had the fish and fries, and my wife had the Mac and cheese with pulled pork and bacon. The staff is friendly and fast. Well worth the stop.“
“First time here. Did not disappoint. Food was really good. You could order appetizers and make that a meal. Portions are big. Bloody Marys are delicious and something you just have to see for yourself. They are huge. Will definitely recommend.“
“This nice cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Delicious food & drinks reasonable prices beautiful presentation full bar plenty of seats nice size dance floor. I would recommend to everyone I would be back very soon.Parking: Plenty of parking“
“Came into town for a wedding and ducked in here before checking into hotel. The bloody mary spot on. Service friendly and attentive. Establishment looked clean. We didn't eat, but people around us ordered everything looked delish. Would be happy to come back here the next time we're in town.“
“I went during a weekday at a weird hour that wasn't too busy customer-wise and the bartender was very preoccupied with visitors, as I learned later they were almost all friends/coworkers; but even with those things in mind my bartender (I believe the board said Maria was the evening bartender) was extremely cognizant of my needs. Literally, the moment I pushed my drink forward indicating I had finished, she was on her way to me asking if I needed any help or would like anything else, but not in an annoying way, just helpfully so. Decent bathroom, but needs paper towels or a fixed air dry machine. Free pool. I heard they got a DJ sometimes. Speaking of which their owner was there and personally introduced himself to me and mentioned that tidbit ?. Gotta say that's a first at any bar that I myself was not a facilitator of myself. An owner introducing themselves, that is.“
“Great place for a family celebration. Eugene was well beyond service expectations! Make sure to request him. Friendly, extremely attentive to the details, and will make your experience the best. Menu changes based on what events are happening in the casino. Come hungry and enjoy an appetizer (that can be a meal in itself) and any entree cooked to perfection.“
“Visiting the area and family wanted us to try their brews as one of their favorites. Tried a flight of 10 beers and favs were Tangerine Trackstar, Toxic Words, Lucifer in a haze, Immoveable King, Nuban overlord and the top one Here comes the reaper. We also had the Pretzel and queso for snacks. They were very good and fast. They also had ice tea which is not always available at breweries. I will say the art work gave me pause and some of the names being a Christian but I don't know the background to comment.“
“Great Pub in Crown Point, tables, booths, and bar seating make for a wonderfuhl dinning experience. Many flat screen televisions to watch all the March Madness with. Hot food is served from a menu of many item's. A fully stocked bar to address your libational delight. Friendly waitstaff will assist your every needs. Ample parking in the front of the Pub. Stop by and treat yourself you won't be disappointed.“
“A very clean bar. I didn't eat anything there or even know if they have a kitchen. The bartender was very nice and outgoing. The crowd was like an after work crowd. We were meeting friends there to go to a ball game. Had a great time, the time we were there. I would go again.“
“The place was packed due to all the football games. Our waitress was right on..I never had to wait for a drink. Great bloody Mary's! To bad the packers lost. Pizza was elellent also. We always got pizzas to go but my first time dining in.“
“I didn't order any food when I recently visited Spanky's - a bar and grill located in a small strip mall located at 15213 101st Ave. in Dyer, Indiana. I had a few drinks, served by the very kind bartenders, and really enjoyed the live music with my friends and family! You can smoke in the bar, but it is pretty well venhilated, according to my non-smoking friends. There is a decent sized stage, plenty of space to sit at at the bar or at the tables in front of the stage, and there wasn't a wait for the bathrooms. There were three stalls available in the ladies room, which were clean, and it was nice not having to wait! Prices for the drinks were very reasonable. If music isn't your thing, there were plenty of TV's to watch - showing the news, gameshows, and sports games. I had an awesome time, they had amazing musicians, and I look forward to going back soon!Parking: Because the bar is located within a strip club, parking can be limited. There are signs in front of the businesses that state only customers for that business can park there. There IS free, additional parking located behind the strip mall, though.Kid-friendliness: This is a bar that features adult music. You might just want to leave the children at home with a baby sitter if you're going late!Wheelchair accessibility: There are parking spots for disabled individuals. Those with wheelchairs shouldn't have much trouble navigating the single level bar.“
“I love this place! I live 90 min away and come to Indiana for work sometimes. I never mind if I get to eat here. I finally got to take my husband. I was a little nervous bc he has high standards. He LOVED it. We devoured our calzones and he couldn't stop talking about it. The crust is just incredible. You just gotta try it! Fun atmosphere and friendly staff is an added bonus.“
