I’m incredibly disappointed to report that my visit was tarnished today. I received my order of sushi with a fruit fly crawling all around it. The server was incredibly apologetic and had the kitchen remake the items.(I did not end up eating them)When I went to the restroom I was greeted by a few flying in the air. This makes me curious how often they deep clean this place(if at all)The server was very accommodating and continuously apologized. She made it know to management (Who did not address the issue)

Had a reservation on valentines day. We arrived abd were told a reservation was never made but I showed them that I called. Was sad. Our waiter took forever to get drinks out abd took two different tables to find him to get refills. Everyone's chicken was undercooked abd when we all mentioned it to the chef he wanted to take the food from everyone's places to heat it up. Like no you need to take everyone's contaminated raw chicken plates abd replace them with fresh new stuff. He just had everyone pass a plate around to scrape their chicken off. Thus leaving behind contaminated juices on everyone's plates. Then the shrimp was raw!! My fiance and I decided to just up abd leave. We stated we would pay for our drinks abd Soups but that's it and that they needed to talk to everyone at the table since there was even a mentally disabled person eating that I'm sure wouldn't know to say their food is raw. That didn't happen. Merrillville location is much better.

The House of Kobe offers an immersive dining experience with its lively hibachi grill, skilled chefs, and flavorful Japanese cuisine. The theatrical preparation at the teppanyaki table enhances the overall enjoyment, while the menu boasts a variety of fresh and delicious options. The restaurant's inviting ambiance and attentive service contribute to a memorable dining experience for both individuals and groups.

Had the Salmon and ribeye. (My husband got rice- $6. Upcharge) know that going in, (noodles are apparently included) The kids love hibachi, this trip, the food was not as good as last time. Presentation was ok. Didn't have to ask for anything, they are very attentive. If it's your first trip for this experience, maybe try another place.
I had the lunch special and it was super delicious. It wasn’t very busy so we were seated right away. The portion size was high lol and I’m a big guy. I probably had enough food for 3 people haha. The food was very well seasoned and everything was cooked to perfection. I just might be making this my Saturday lunch go to
I've got to be honest here - I'm not usually a big fan of teppanyaki, but family wanted to go here, so off we went for a weekday lunch. This pricing for their lunch offering is AMAZING. Less than $20 per person for steak and shrimp (or steak and salmon, or other combinations too) - and it was a ton of food. I enjoyed the soup, and then the main dish was also great - the noodles were really a standout for me. My salmon was cooked perfectly, as was the steak. Kiddo devoured all his protein eagerly. ;) Definitely a lot of families here (even on a weekday), and the staff worked well with everyone. It's noisy (which is why I knocked off a star) - almost too much for my son unfortunately - but the food and service was great.

The man who took our order, definitely hated his life and us for no reason. The cook was very unprofessional, mocking the five year olds we had with us incredibly rude about it too. The customer service has went downhill ever since they added the mandatory 18% which I was all for.

Definitely not Benihana or Ron of Japan. Cold food brought out to you not carried on a tray but in their hands. Didn’t like the idea they walked from table to table asking if it was yours! Drinks mediocre. Lots of children playing and yelling in the atrium area we were seated at because there were no vacancies at the actual hibachi table. Won’t be back!

NOT WORTH it for a vegetarian. I paid the same price as if I had meat. The entree was mushrooms, soy sprouts and zucchini the same as everybody else. Some tofu would have made a difference.
