Amazon concept and great product it's sad to see the few people who take such advantage of this place and yet they don't allow it to change there attitude or the way they work. By far though it is an amazing addition to the neighborhood and any place would be lucky to have something like this in there town. (To those of you who take advantage, shame on you. To the rest of us, please give when you can and accept when In need. This place can only continue to work if people do there part also.)

The local coffee house for the Near Northwest Neighborhood. There are no prices for products. Everyone "pays it forward" by donating whatever they feel is fair. Or not. Technically you can simply pay nothing!Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessible for handicap.

Beautiful unique little neighborhood place a bit off the beaten path, started as a novel "pay it forward" place with EXCELLENT coffee drinks. Small and cosy, with a indoor and a bit of outdoor seating, just beside the Near Northwest Neighborhood community development office and across from the parking lot where there's a small hyperlocal Saturday morning farmer's market. Staffed by young worker-owners who lovingly make your drinks by hand. Also usually has some baked treats. All rehabbed and installed by the community, too. Love it!

Stopped here on a long road trip from DC to Wisconsin. This was a great little community coffee shop to stop at and get some caffeine before continuing on the road. I love that my cup of coffee was paid for by someone else! The pay it forward model is so great. And yes, I did pay it forward for the next person behind me. The neighborhood is cute too to walk around and stretch your legs a bit.

You know that feeling when you walk into a familiar place where everyone knows your name? The local cup feels like that the first time you walk in the door. And their hot cocoa is splendid.

Great neighborhood cafe! I love their pay it forward concept! You can be there hours talking to people. Its family friendly, with side room in which children can play and one can can have conversation with other neighbors.

I love how the window is nicely decorated and the design indoors give out a different vibe. I like the veggies in the Dumpling Tofu Soup. They presented it nicely and the staff are very friendly, too!
