Best sushi/sashimi restaurant in the area. Not the best quality, but hard to find anything better nearby. Nice atmosphere. Habachi is also very good.

My family & I were in South Bend visiting my parents for the holidays. I wanted sushi & I found this place. I did a quick online order & headed to the restaurant to pick it up. When I arrived with my 5 year-old, there was a man on the phone. I assume it was the owner, but I could be wrong. Long story short, he never acknowledged us standing there. He took call after call & never even said, "I'll be with you in a moment." My 5 year-old whispered in my ear to ask why he was ignoring us. I continued to stand silently. I have NEVER had such awful treatment. Anywhere. There were waitresses chatting amongst eachother, watching the whole ordeal. Eventually, one reluctantly came over to ask if I had a pickup order & added, "Well did you already pay?" I had. I hated that I had because at this point, I would have just left the restaurant. I will never step foot in here again. The sushi was subpar AT BEST & falling apart. I believe I know exactly why we were ignored, but it truly doesn't matter anymore. I will be sure to take my business elsewhere.

Waitress was absolutely awful. Never in my life have written a bad review on a restaurant. She was not attentive, told us to stop shouting at her while rolling her eyes (when we were a very calm and small party), and pretty much told us to leave so she could go home. We were handed the check when we barely started our entrees and wanted to order more. She clearly was more worried about her night plans than her job. It was a birthday dinner for a friend, and unfortunately the horrific service ruined the whole experience.

I hosted a birthday dinner here with 6 girls, and I was highly dissappointed with my experience, mainly due to my server. Our server was incredibly rude. She was obviously trying to get us out of there, so she could leave. Gave us the check before we had finished eating (no, it was not closing time), and when we asked for another round of drinks, she responded with a very rude remark about us being demanding guests? My entire table commented on her unfriendly nature, and it undoubtedly affected our experience. I never do yelp reviews, but it pissed me off so much I am writing one. I have her name. I don't necessarily want to name drop her (because I do have it), but it was unacceptable. Nonetheless, the food and drinks were good, and the menu is extensive. Will likely not be returning :(

Really friendly service, food portions that are usually generous enough to have lunch the next day, and a wide array of sushi to choose from.

We come here often but today our experience was poor. Our sever was definitely not interested in being there today. We had an early reservation for 2. We were one of the first tables to be sat in the bar area. We were seated at a four top right in the entrance. So as people came in all evening they walked past our table on both sides. It was a continuous flow of traffic of staff and guests. We ordered cocktails, one sushi roll as an appetizer and two entrees that came with soup and salad. All these items were served to us at the same time. Definitely not the best experience we have had at this establishment. It was strange that all staff wearing Woochi shirts or black outfit except the two guy and the host desk when you walked in. One was dressed in a red golf shirt that looked slept in and the other dressed in a worn t shirt and ratty Purdue baseball hat worn backwards who was also server tables. This was not the restaurants best evening .Very disappointing.

Sushi was amazing and fresh. We had a large group and did the large boat. Great selection on the boat and very tasty. I will visit again when in the area.

Our favorite place for sushi in South Bend! Service was quick and helpful with drink and portion recommendations. The vibe is fun-busy but not loud. Price point is fair for what you get and the good quality.

My drink and sushi were definitely five-star. I had the Japanese whisky high ball and two types of sushi. Both were so good! The problem was the service. When my sushi arrived I realized I didn't have any soy or a dish. My server was no where to be seen. I ended up flagging down another server for help. She brought me soy but nothing to put it in. I used the saucer on the table. Also there were about 20 empty tables and the host sat me right next to the only couple in the bar. It was a bit awkward to be sitting so close to them and the woman literally did not stop talking LOUDLY the entire meal. I even got to hear about her last GYN visit. Delightful. My server did not materialize until I was finished with my meal. She popped by and said "Check?" Maybe I wanted another drink. Maybe I wanted dessert. Nope. The other servers seemed to be quite attentive. I would give it another shot because the food and drink was so good.

walked in the door at 1:00 to be meet with an extremely unfriendly host. made it very clear that they close at 2 and that we would be made to leave if we tried to stay longer (it was 3 of us). He then confiscated a closed small bottle of water from us. I ordered the "Beef" Ramon. the broth was delicious and the three actual bites of beef was delicious. but as you can see by the picture, 75% of the beef was fat. The outside seating area is nice and our waitress was pleasant. I'd not go back.

Had reservations and were immediately greeted with an extremely bubbling host and friendly server team. Guest was immediately wished happy birthday on our arrival.I enjoyed my husbands sizzling pepper steak more than my steak hibachi. Was just a personal preference.Crab roll I ordered was just ok.Gyoza was good. The Singapore rice noodles had my daughters mouth on fire. Loved the soups.Mixed drink was tasty.Dessert surprise was a nice closing for a birthday.Pricing overall very reasonable. We enjoyed our visit and pleasant birthday dinner for the evening here.

First off how can you not like the name?? Woochi!! In town for business and wanted some sushi and Asian food. Spicy tuna sushi roll was great for an app, went with Chicken and Garlic for the entree. Fast service great food and sat outside on the patio. Will definitely go back.
