Food was extremely bland, I bit into a fajita piece, and it tasted like a sponge that was sitting in a sink...we left most of our food there. The only thing worth having was the queso fundido, which only saves them bc chorizo is naturally spiced so much that it has flavor. Being from south Texas we were looking forward to having decent Mexican food...unfortunately this place was not it.

They never disappoint! Our dinner tonight was delicious and we have enough leftovers for another meal. My husband and I tried new to dinners and were very thrilled. My husband had the Sope Dinner and I chose the Steak Ala Mexicana. Delicious!!!!

Wow! The food here is amazing! Great service! The chips are served warm and the salsa is delicious! I'm born and raised in Chicago and the Mexican food here is definitely authentic!!! The portions are very generous too!! If you're looking for real Mexican food, give this place a try! You won't be disappointed!!!!

What a fantastic neighborhood restaurant.Great food, great drink selection and great prices.Homemade nacho chips that are always warm and guacamole that is perfect.The restaurant is a little on the small side but there is patio seating available when weather permits.Very attentive waitstaff and a bartender who actually knows the recipes for the drinks they serve - that's more rare than it should be these days.My personal favorite is the Chicken Fajitas but I also recommend the Flautas.Definitely try their breakfast Eggs with Chorizo and you will be a customer for life.Highly recommend!

On the way to Chicago , we had to make a stop for dinner. My co-worker and I were craving some Mexican food in the Valparaiso area. We decided to go with the one with only one Yelp review (5). I'm glad we did!This place is small!! 10 tables and 4 (maybe 5) bar seats! But we got right in and sat immediately. Our server was awesome, and she was checking on us every 10 minutes or so. Absolutely great service!The food was excellent! My co-worker had the Arroz con pollo, and I had the Quesadilla Mexican. The chicken was so juicy and flavorful in both of our meals. The quesadilla had spicy chorizo in addition to the delicious chicken, and both were huge portions! Good enough, right?? Wrong! I drank a couple of Contaritas (tequila, grapefruit soda, and Grand Marnier with a Tajin rim), and they were so flavorful.... and only $7.99!! We had chips and salsa, which were great, and the queso was pretty good, too! Definitely will find this place again.

Went there for taco Tuesday. There outside rolling banner stating 1.50 for tacos. When I went inside, they informed me, tacos are 1.75 carry out. Nothing is stated on the rolling banner. When I questioned it, they did not show me, where it states the upcharge. Then I spoke to the manager and he is smart about the situation. Make sure they show you any up charges. If I could give zero stars and it be known, I would. I will not go back!
