been going there for years. prices slightly on the high end. that being said...the place is impeccable. it's neat, clean, organized. Rob's seafood is always the freshest. I've always had a positive experience shopping there. In fact I usually look forward to it!

I recently moved to Indiana and was afraid I wouldn't be able to find a good fish market. Then I found McGowan & Sons. I called first and asked if they would take an order for clams and mussels. They said yes. Then on December 22nd I drove there. When you first pull in, the parking lot is full, which is a good sign. Then you walk in and there are happy shoppers every where. With staff smiling and helping. The store is clean and there is a variety of fish you can purchase. My order was ready for me. When I served my meal on Christmas Eve, all the mussels and clams opened beautifully. I am always going to go there for my fish. I'm glad I found them and I highly recommend them.

This place is awesome. We ordered 3 dozen clams for Xmas and they filled our order promptly. Not to mention, I only lost 1 clam and pretty proud of how fresh these were. Will definitely be back for more.

The fish is fresh and has a good flavor. The service however leaves much to be desired. Several months ago I stopped in for salmon and tried to place an order for crab cakes. The clerk stated that they only do crab cakes once a month (true!) and that she didn't know when that would be. I mentioned that the crab cakes were due to be in the following week and asked to be put on the list. The clerk stated there was no list and insisted on finding a calendar for me so I "would know when crab cake day is ". She never found it and I just left without placing an order. This month I saw they were going to be in after the Christmas holiday and placed an order online for two gluten free cakes (allergy). My order was verified by the store's FB administrator. When I arrived to pick up the cakes, however, I was told that I had not been put down for gluten free and that there were no extras. I was offered a non-gluten free option but due to my allergy had to decline. I very clearly stated in my online order that gluten free was necessary. This same issue has happened to a coworker of mine. I like their food, but having had two service issues in a row I feel it's not worth the drive anymore.

They have the nicest staff, the chef is incredible, and the seafood is so fresh and delicious! Their cook at home meals and cooked ready to eat meals are also exceptional. Made an incredible meal from their fresh ingredients!

This place is my newest obsession. They have it all - fresh fish, wine, cooking classes, pop-ups, a ridiculously amazing and versatile catering menu (don’t let the name fool you they can do it all and very well) as well as daily take home specials. The staff are kind and helpful along with the Chef and his wife, they go above and beyond. Check them out!

It might be a little steep on the price but you will not find fresher, better quality (sashimi grade) fish anywhere. Their daily specials are really delicious.
