I used to love this place! This time it wasn’t edible. The mac n cheese used to be my favorite, but this time it was worse than off brand from a box. The pulled pork was so greasy I soaked through 2 paper towels dabbing it off, there was also a ton of fat and not much meat. I didn’t get a choice of bbq sauce like you used to. The cornbread was dry and the actual corn in it was hard as a rock and I couldn’t chew it. We ended up throwing away both meals and won’t be back.

I went to Smoketown to grab an order for a birthday dinner, and had an opportunity to chat with the owner. She was incredibly kind, and I learned that she makes everything from scratch, including the seasonings and sauces. I am so impressed with her and her restaurant. Plus, my family loves their food. I highly recommend Smoketown.

We came for lunch and got the Holy Smokes Platter to share to try a little bit of everything. The brisket was cold and so dry it was nearly beef jerky. The ribs were just the same except covered in sauce, cold and dry. The Mac and cheese had no taste really could’ve benefited from salt and was also cold. The cornbread was also cold and you guessed it dry. The fries believe it or not we’re hot and fresh but had zero taste. The BBQ sauces were also really strange you have a choice of jam, mustard, or bbq. I think this place could be really great if they learned to season and not make everything soo dry.

We walked in and there was not one single customer which we thought was weird. The atmosphere was also strange, at first we thought we walked into the wrong place. The only reason we stayed was because the chef greeted us when we walked in and was obviously excited to finally have a customer, so it was awkward. Then the food came out. It was like they reheated pre-made food. I had the meaty mac: it tasted like regular Kraft but grainy. Very disappointed as someone who has had plenty of mac and cheese at restaurants. My boyfriend got the brisket. It looked like the cow died twice. It was dry and thin and came with no sauce. His Cole slaw was brown. We barely ate any of it. Both of us travel to Memphis frequently so we know how barbeque should be. And this was just not it. I hope they make some changes soon. Maybe market themselves as a bar, get rid of the bakery display, redecorate, play fun music, put sauces on the table, have fun cocktails, and reprint some more trendy menus. Maybe even try having a live band!

I’ve been here before it was pretty good but this time I got it the brisket and pulled pork had no flavor but grease. The beans were literally a soup. Best part of the meal was the cornbread and onion twigs. Overall weird system here. Desserts look really good though

Such an amazing place to eat! Amazing atmosphere, friendly staff, very clean, great food and so beautiful inside!!! What a gem this place is! Kelsie was a great waitress and Mireya is cute as a button!!! My fiancé and I will for sure be back!!! The Runaway Pig was the best pulled pork we have ever eaten anywhere!!! Chicken was amazing too!!!! So much love put into our meals! Because I recently moved here, I am grateful to have the chance to meet some great new people here! Can’t wait to come back
