Fun surprise popping into East of Chicago with 5 kids after a full day of swimming at Pine Lake. Great find. Buffett was a big win. Kids and adults left happy with full bellies. Staff was really kind and attentive. Final bill was more than I would have guessed. Wish the Buffett price was posted or displayed in a way that I would have known what to expect.Salad bar was good. Dessert breadsticks were way better than expected.
We had a party of 3 and our food came out staggered but one was so delayed that 2 of the 3 were done eating by the time the 3rd person finally got her food! Waitress barely checked on us and we had to wait an unreasonable amount of time for our check. Food was at least decent.

Our waitress was super sweet. Buffet stayed stocked during the time we were there. It was fresh and plenty to choose from. Definitely a great family spot to enjoy a meal at.Kid-friendliness: Definitely was nice night with a few families with kids. Everyone seemed so comfortable and the staff was super friendly.
