I've driven by many times, but today I decided to stop into Agave Azul, and I am glad I did. Upon arriving, I noticed the drink specials and ordered a 32oz Doz XX Amber for $2. That's a great start. Within 30 seconds, I had salsa and chips at my table. The chips were good, and I could have drank the restaurant style salsa itself. Tremendous flavor and I like the fact it doesn't have chunks (personal preference). I ordered 3 taco combo (Mexican Style). Carne asada, carnitas, and chorizo were my choices for meat; all of which were delicious. The meal came with rice and beans which were also really good. Many times, refried beans can be bland but these beans had just a tinge of spice which went very well with the Mexican rice. I could have been completely content eating just the beans and rice. Might I add the meal was prepared and arrived at my table in less than 5 minutes and was extremely hot. All of this comes with a bit of sadness as this location will no longer be open after August 31st 2021. I've noticed other reviews stating some would rather go to Chipotle. IMO, that's foolish. Agave Azul is far superior than the trash they call "Mexican Food" at Chipotle.

A person died getting food poisoning here. It was all over the news. The owner responded by saying you assume the risks by eating here. Read the other reviews and look it up in the news.

I ordered a burrito from them tonight. I was VERY SPECIFIC that I only wanted steak and chicken inside NOTHING ELSE ( I repeated this at least 20x)I received my $19 burrito and it was NOT AT ALL WHAT I ASKED FOR. When I called to get it corrected they argued with me on the phone about me being wrong, and finally I told them I paid $19 for a burrito I’m not even going to eat, they replace it. When I arrived to pick up my order the guy was standing there told me my food was on the table but that it was MY FAULT that my order was wrong and that next time they we’re going to have to charge me!!!! ?? completely mind blown by this. Considering I DID PAY FOR IT!! And it was THEIR FAULT my order was messed up. This is not the first time this has happened to me and I WILL NOT be returning to The West Lafayette Location or any of their locations for that matter.
