Love going to Freddy's waiting for the Freddy's to be built here in Lafayette ??

This place never disappoints. We eat here at least 3 times a month. The food is always delicious. The tables were a little messy but manageable.

We had burgers and fries here on Saturday with every little league player in West Lafayette! We were not part of the teams, but they were all around us so this is clearly the place to go! Our burgers were really good, the fries are exceptional! Everything was hot and prepared well. My daughter had custard and it was all gone without a taste shared so I guess it was teenager-approved. I'd love to return! My first visit to Freddy's, but probably not my last. It's like a good Steak and Shake - how Steak and Shake used to be 25 years ago. (And now I feel old!)

Always great food, fast service.

Great burgers and fries. Love the crispy edges on the well cooked burgers. We shared a custard for dessert and it was great. Wish we had Freddy's (or Culver's) in Pittsburgh!

I've been to this location a few times now. It's definitely improving! As others have mentioned, back in 2019 when it was new, it was painfully slow. Thankfully, it's not quite as bad anymore. However, if you show up around peak dining hours, you can expect to wait in the drive-through for 20 minutes. As far as the food quality goes, Freddy's is pretty good for fast-food! It's certainly a step above the top-3 fast food burger chains that everyone is familiar with. That being said, you're also paying a couple of bucks more! Burgers: Good! Freddy's has a unique technique when it comes to grilling their burgers. They smash them down super-thin, which creates a crispy crust around the edges. It's a nice touch! However, that also means the burger patties themselves are wafer thin, so it can feel like you're not getting a lot of actual volume for your dollar. Fries: Bad. Freddy's only serves super-thin, plain, straight-cut shoe string fries. If you like that particular style, you're in luck. However, I personally do not care for them. They're too thin, too bland, too boring. They remind me of the cheap, soggy, flimsy fries we used to get served at the school cafeteria. Chicken: Decent quality, bland taste. Once again, the quality of Freddy's ingredients seems to be a notch above the competition. They serve chicken tenders and breasts instead of the standard reconstituted nuggets served at other burger joints. While the quality is good, the variety is lacking. Looking for spicy chicken or something with a bit more flavor? You wont get it at Freddy's. Their spicy chicken is just the regular chicken with spicy sauce slathered on top of it. Others: Freddy's also serves hot dogs, frozen custard, chilli, cheese curds, onion rings, etc - but I haven't tried them, so I can't review those items. Overall, if you're willing to pay an extra couple of bucks, I'd say Freddy's is probably preferable to the more established burger chains like McD's and Bking. However, it doesn't even come close to the flavor of specialty burger joints like AJ's or Five Guys.

Been to several other Freddy's and this one is consistently good! The steak burgers are thin and crispy just like they should be! I prefer the California style which includes their Freddy's sauce. The fries are crispy and always perfectly seasoned. The hot dogs are great as well. Love they are served on a slice of toasted garlic bread. Great flavor and different for sure. Can't ever seem to have enough room for the custard sundaes but perhaps next time I will skip dinner and get the Peanut Buttercup Banana Sundae. The staff is super friendly and all standard Covid regulations are enforced.

I just want to start by saying I have never once given a bad review (I'm pretty easy to please and will typically deal with a steak that isn't cooked the way I like it, etc.). I'm not writing this after one bad experience, but two experiences that will cause me to never go back. On April 4 I paid for onion rings and got fries. Initially I decided that was fine and I would just deal with losing the extra $ I paid for them. After deciding a second later that I paid for the onion rings, so I should get them, I called them back to see if I could go inside to grab them since the line was so long (thanks COVID). The person on the phone was extremely rude and didn't care about anything I had to say - so I drove on. Tonight, I thought I'd go get some ice cream. After ordering and having it read back right to me and it being correct on the screen, the woman at the window tried giving me the wrong ice cream. I told her it wasn't mine (trying to save them from giving me the wrong food). She asked for the name and I told her. She said no this is what you ordered. I said it was right on the screen and it was read back to me correctly & I asked for the receipt. She gave me literally the worst look I've ever seen someone give any person and didn't give me the receipt. I said forget it and took the WRONG ice cream & left. Super sad about this because I love Freddy's and have frequented there since they opened last fall.

Average place to go. Nothing really stands out. Its another take on the steakburger/custard attraction that really doesnt do anything great. Prices are higher than expected. Store is clumsy to navigate. Seating is busy and crowded. Food prep time is much longer than expected.

Their choice of ingredients, passion for yumminess and customer service are what makes Freddy's our choice of a local hamburger shop. And A+ for cleanliness. From their burgers to their seasoning for fries, you can tell that the owner is serious about serving good fast food. This was our second time. First went because of a recommendation from a friend. Duaine and Shey's friendliness and service were greatly appreciated! We will return!

I was a little apprehensive about trying Freddie's because I'd heard that it was a lot like Steak and Shake (of which, I'm not a fan). I was pleasantly surprised with my experience because my food and the service were both outstanding. I order the burger combo and was very satisfied with the portions and taste. I will definitely return for another visit to try out the other menu and ice cream options.

I ordered a doubled and got 2 paper thin burnt patties smh, not worth the price or taste at all.

the food was cold, over priced, I waited 45 minutes for a burger combo to only get it cold, rubbery and not even correct toppings

This is the combination of two pretty decent restaurants but a notch better. The cheese curds are the better than Culvers. The fries are similar to steak and shake. Burgers are similar to Culvers. They have custard too. Onion rings are the real McCoy. Try this place. It's pretty awesome!
