A must do if you like donuts - just the smell of the place makes you want to try them all! We got the chocolate cake, Bavarian cream, red velvet and apple fritter. All sooo good. Employees were helpful and nice! Clean and cute decor. We took ours to go, but there is plenty of space to sit and eat.

Incredible! Snagged a day old red velvet donut from some friends and couldn't believe my face! This is one special spot that does phenomenal work. I fell for the rich yet easy to enjoy texture, vibrant flavors, and large dessert treat perfect for celebrating a birthday after everyone has eaten the rest of the box. Can't speak for much else yet but will fix that soon and get myself to Hammer properly to take on the menu for myself!

I visited Hammer donuts when I first moved to Lafayette. I had saved it on Google maps and was really looking forward to a visit. Unfortunately, my first visit to the shop didn't go well and the employee was impatient and when asked simple questions about the ingredients and the flavor of the day and when those would be available, he gave curt responses.I thought maybe I had come into the store too close to closing and he was just tired. However, I checked after leaving and there were still a few hours to closing. There were no other customers either. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and made it out to him having a bad day.If things had gone differently, I might have been a frequent customer but you know what they say about first impressions. I peek into the store to see who is behind the counter before I go in now.I did revisit afterwards and was happy to see someone else behind the register who was much friendlier. It was a pleasant experience.
