I love Maje sushi! I come here all the time and get the Orange dragon roll. Honestly I haven't tried anything else here because I really like my order. It has cream cheese which I usually find too heavy in sushi but it's very nicely balanced with the salmon in this roll. I don't think any sushi in the area compares! The people are nice and the place is open late.

I highly, HIGHLY recommend experimenting and trying something new here, you never know which unfamiliar food will be the next love of your life.I come here with my boyfriend semi-regularly and order via DoorDash as well, food always comes looking gorgeous and tasting absolutely divine.So much care and skill goes into their delicately-crafted food. Majé is the one and only place I'll order sushi from, the quality of their ingredients is clear from the first bite. I know full well of the risk ordering raw seafood, I've only ever had positive eating experiences here. Never gotten sick, nauseous, or otherwise ill after enjoying a meal. Gold star review across the charts, incredible work from the staff.Parking: The parking lot is kinda funny, not any fault of the restaurant (obviously lol) and so it's usually easier to park around the block or in a nearby garage and walk on over.

The food was decent. I liked the sushi rolls with tempura shrimp were good, as well as ones with tuna. I just felt like the flavors and depth of flavor were lacking, especially compared to sushi rolls I've had in California or at high end sushi places. Now I know that these types of restaurants aren't comparable to a sushi place at a college town but I was a bit disappointed. I didn't really dig the roll with cream cheese. So food was so-so. I guess this is decent for a college town though, since it is one of the only sushi places around and there isn't fresh fish nearby due to lack of nearby body of water. This review is based on my most recent experience based on what I ordered. It could be higher if I ordered other items. I do want to try to nigiri, but I know I can't compare it to the Michelin star nigiri I had in Chicago or fresh high end omakase in california, so I won't keep my expectations too high. I got takeout so can't speak about service or ambiance.

The best sushi in town. I have tried many sushi restaurants not just in the United States but also in Europe . I would say this tiny sushi spot is one of the bests. Not just me, my friends also love their sushi which is so fresh, delicious and beautiful.The staff is friendly . The price is reasonable. We usually ordered take out and delivery. But, sometimes dine in at the restaurant. Couldn’t be more satisfied. I eat 3 times a week at Maje’ Sushi now.

I’m giving the food 5 stars but I took stars off the overall review because everytime I order through Grubhub, it’s late. So I even went I’d far as to pre-order it ahead of time and schedule a delivery time & they are currently 22 minutes late. They do the delivery themselves even through Grubhub. I love the person that delivers it, I just wish they’d figure something else out.

The sushi was delicious. My daughter had the California Boiler Roll, I had the Red Dragon and my husband had the Rainbow Roll. Sushi tasted fresh and the price was excellent. If you are visiting Purdue make sure you stop by.

Sushi is always fresh and delicious. Not many sushi places on campus, but this is my favorite. You can only get it to-go. Service is always very friendly.

I’ve always had great luck in the past ordering from Maje. However, I came to pick up my 12:30pm pickup order (they open at noon) and they door was locked. I thought about leaving but, I had already paid online. Someone eventually came to door at 12:32pm and I eventually got my food at 12:49. Great food but bad experience today.

I love maje! I always get the red dragon roll and it is amazing! Plus their prices are affordable and you get a good sized roll. They were even helpful in cancelling my order when I wasn't going to be able to get to the store in time. I highly recommend them!

Look. This use to be THE place my husband and I went to. We LOVED the staff, they knew our order by heart and always joked and had fun. But now?? I'm not sure what happened, but all the new people in there have zero pizazz. One thing that upsets me (and provoked this review) most is they charge extra for extra eel sauce. BUT THEY NEVER GIVE IT TO YOU. I can't do soy sauce on sushi but I don't like their sushi without eel sauce. I order a grilled eel roll EVERY TIME (my normal favorite here going on a decade) and The eel sauce amount on those is a joke now too (never use to be). Like this is at least the 10th time I've paid for, and not received, my eel sauce and I am over it. The only time I've gotten my purchased extra eel sauce (that I eat with all my rolls, not just the grilled eel roll) was when I ate in the shop (a few weeks ago) and I had to remind them after they gave us our food and set up our soy sauce bowls (that I requested not to have in the first place). I'm tired of giving away my money for a product I literally never get. I just am over it. I've been more than understanding. All of their rolls are 10x better with this sauce (to me personally). They put 20 packets of their cheap soy sauce but they can't put the one small cup of eel sauce in the bag. This place use to be a solid 4-5 stars. Now it's getting a 1 star Review. I now only eat here because it's the only place my husband will get sushi. He is obsessed with their Maje 101 roll with soy paper (something the previous employees knew to use by default with him). I am particularly fond of their Maje 102 roll and their grilled eel roll. In the 8 years I've been a customer here I've never experienced poor quality products; their fish, rice, veggies, seaweed, ginger, wasabi, etc are all top notch. They use to be better about a nice tight roll, now they are pretty loose. I love their presentation of their rolls. I do wish they had a bit better roll selection, though. It is a very Americanized menu so its a good place to take a newbie to sushi. Their shop is ALWAYS very well maintained and clean top to bottom. And while this staff currently isn't near the caliber they use to have, they are still very friendly and inviting. I also once, a long time ago, had a very great conversation with the owner (honestly not sure if it's the same owner anymore but I will have to assume so) and he was fabulous and passionate and motivated in his words and body language when talking about his establishment and ideas. PLEASE fix this. As a long term customer, I cannot stress enough at how frustrating it is paying for, and anticipating, something that ends up never making it to me. We are locals to the area, not students. I have had nearly all the rolls on their menu over the years just to try and I am well versed in sushi ordering elsewhere. In short. Don't expect extra eel sauce even if you pay for it. You must remind them or else it will not be included. I will update this review if this experienced trend ever changes. As a loyal customer I promise that.
