I'm giving it 4 stars just because the food was actually pretty good for Indiana. We are from Los Angeles & we are blessed to have authentic Chinese food. We came here with friends and all the dishes ordered were all quite delish. My favorite were the eggplant & sweet & sour fish. I've had better duck though. Unfortunately, we were all starving so I didn't get to take any pictures.

If I pay for something extra, I’d actually like to get it.

Tried the fried rice. Pretty good. Service was fast and the ambiance was typical for the joint.

My girlfriend and I visited here for her birthday last week. We ordered the shredded pork with garlic sauce, chef special stir fried chicken, and sesame chicken. The service was quick and the food utterly delicious! We had plenty of time to sit and enjoy our meal, taking from each of the three dishes. Her favorite was the shredded pork and I loved the chef special stir fried chicken. We’d definitely go here again.

The service in this place is terrible. I asked for soy sauce and was brought a empty bottle and I guess the person who took our order was our server. Because we never saw him or anyone for that matter come back to the table. No refill on water or the sprite I ordered. Also I had to go ask for to go boxes and for the bill so I could pay. They also add a 18 percent service fee automatically for dine in as well. The food was pretty good though, but after seeing them pour hot water in metal bucket with spoons and take them out and clean them with a towel ??‍♂️ hope it was at least some kind of sanitizer in the bucket already.

I’ve always considered peppercorn to be underrated. For being in west Lafayette it’s not bad for authentic sizchuan cuisine.I ordered the crispy chicken in garlic sauce and shrimp fried rice to go. I ordered online for pickup and it was ready within 15 minutes. Both dishes were still hot and tasted like it was freshly made. I wish there was a notes section when ordering online to indicate how much spice you want. Both the dishes were very mild in my opinion, and I would have liked to make note that I’d want it to be spicy. But other than that both dishes weren’t bad. There wasn’t any indication on whether the chicken dish would come with a side of rice, but the reviews mentioned it does come with rice which it did.I’ve tried other dishes in the past that I liked too although I unfortunately can’t remember the names. The space inside is huge with lots of tables to dine in. Overall a good spot when you’re craving shizchuan.

Peppercorn is my favorite Chinese food in Greater Lafayette. The service is fast, the staff friendly, and the food is top notch. We get tue Chongqing Popcorn chicken (spicy, salty fried chicken), szechuan sauteed green beans (stupid good, a little spicy), and then something new on each trip. Can't recommend this place enough

Our party of three ordered takeout on Saturday night (1/27/24). Two of the meals reportedly were fine. Mine was so bad it was an embaerrassment to the one who had suggested Peppercorns. My order was Kung Pao beef. Many of the slices of meat were 3 inches long x 1 to 1 1/2 inches wide. Bite-size for a goat perhaps. The majority of the beef was as tough as shoe leather. One piece I couldn't even bite through and it was discarded. Make no mistake, my meal was flavorful. Were it not for the quality of the meat it would have been splendid. The meat was so bad I am reluctant to even honor this establishment with one star but in order to publish this review, a star rating is mandatory. If the management want's our GrubHUb receipt # I'll be most happy to provide it along with the name of the server listed in the face of the receipt document.

Went in, group of six, for a friend's graduation celebration. We ordered Deep fried Chinese buns, Cold noodles with house special chilli sauce, Tea smoked duck, Stir fried tofu, Chicken fried rice, Crispy Fried shrimp, Sizzling fish fillet, Fish soup. All of us felt full and total cost came up to below $160.Food: Quality of food was really good, correct amount of sauce, flavours, salt, cooked to the right temp. Quantity was large enough for the cost for all the food itemsService: They had an unexpected amount of crowd for a Sunday (due to graduation ceremony at Purdue) and handled it really well without much chaos and we were greeted, placed well without any waiting, and given all the extra utensils, and warm water as soon as requested.Atmosphere: Clean, spacious and CalmVegetarian options: Their is a Cold Noodles option and an entire veggie section.Parking: There are parking spots around the building and nearby park (3mins walking)
