We were so excited to make our first visit to this gem. It was highly recommended by friends and has so many stellar reviews Being first time callers, our choice was to eat in the bar. Sean the bartender was super busy,as this restaurant was packed, took great care of us. The patrons in the bar provided some killer recommended choices and we took advantage of them. First choice was the fried ravioli. Excellent n could only eat 2 of the 4. We split the beet salad. Perfect choice. Next was the chicken piccata for my baby's birthday n she loved it! I had the lasagna w the vodka sauce( you can choose your own). Spot on!!! Negroni n Chianti were delicious n service was great! Will be back for sure!!!

Oh my! This restaurant is amazing! The bar tender, I can't remember her name, long curly hair, was great! Was very attentive without hovering. The food was unbelievable. I had eggplant parmessan and my friend had the seafood soup special. Both were highly recommended by Kelsey(?) and didn't fail to deliver. My only negative? The price of the valet parking, $10 seemed awfully pricey. And, since I did self park, the group of valets blocked the entire sidewalk both as we were entering and leaving. That's my only negative. We will definitely be back!Vegetarian options: Bruschetta and eggplant parm did not disappoint!

came her for the first time on friday on a date, i loved it so much i went back saturday night by myself!it was louder on friday - but it was almost specifically a table next to us, saturday was much more moderate noise.anyway, the service & the food was amazing! we were checked on regularly, never without their most perfect bread - served hot/warm!i had the rigatoni bolognese and it was so good i finished it all - i hardly ever finish a pasta dish but i couldn't leave any behind! the bolognese was so hearty! and the temperature! my pasta stayed hot almost until the very end of my meal both nights! the servers are great, friendly, attentive & work seamlessly with each other from what i could tell! also, honorable mention to the bussers, hosts & valet attendants!i already can't wait to come back a third time & very much looking forward to it when it gets warm & the patio is open!

Great restaurant with wonderful food. Have enjoyed my visits over the years and look forward to the next time I'm able to stop in.

Nestled in downtown Westfield in a former residence, Italian House provides a comfortable setting with enjoyable background music and ambiance for a romantic or informal gathering. Food, wine and cocktail selection is good although limited given the size of the restaurant. Specials are available and Frutti di Mare was this evenings choice!

This was our first time dining here and we loved it. I had the veal marsala and it’s probably the best I have ever had. Service was wonderful. Excited to go back in the summertime. Highly recommend!

We took the recommendation from Wanderwestfield on Instagram. We were heading to the Indy airport from Northern Indiana and wanted something outside of Indy. We had the very best experience because of Ashley. She was attentive but not pushy. She was so sweet and thoughtful. Thank you for being so fun Ashley! The wine was fantastic, the ravioli was delicious and all of our entrees were outstanding. We normally don’t eat dessert but we knew it was going to be too good to pass us. We took ours to enjoy at the hotel before our flight. Thanks again for a wonderful experience as we start our vacation!Leslie

Saturday 3/9/2024This was our first time dining at The Italian House. We made reservations, and were seated promptly when we arrived. The atmosphere was bustling and busy. Our waitress, Ashley, was very friendly and patient as she explained the specials and drinks. She allowed us ample time to review the menu and make our choices. We ordered the Bruschetta for an appetizer. My wife ordered the linguine and clams and a lemonade, and I ordered the Saltibocca with chicken and a fresh cup of Lavazza coffee. The Bruschetta came out and it looked deliciously prepared. The bread was tender on the inside with a crunchy crust, sliced just right on size. The diced tomatoes were fresh and chilled with just the right amount balsamic vinegar giving it a sweetness to the palate. It was one of the best Bruschetta we ever had.Our dinners came out nice and hot. The Saltibocca was absolutely delicious: the chicken was tender, the angel hair pasta was perfect and the sauce was just incredible. The linguine and clams were also delicious: the clams were fresh and not rubbery, the garlic sauce was delicate and perfectly balanced being able to taste all that went into it, including the white wine. For dessert we ordered tiramisu to go, being that the dinners were quite filling. We thoroughly enjoyed the tiramisu, which was fluffy with fresh whipped cream and not too sweet. We have tried many of the local Italian restaurants, and they are good, but we both agree The Italian House is on another level in every category from service, to the food, to the dining experience. We are certain to return for more. Bravo!

The Italian House serves up some fantastic food and drinks. The restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere as it is in a old house The last time we were there was with a party from work and we have around 8 people. We sat upstairs in a room that was just us so warm and cozy and so much easier to chat with one another as it didn't have all the noise like downstairs. I had a shrimp fettuccine dish which was creamy, filling and downright sinful! The whole group was very happy with their choices and all in all a fantastic evening.

Try the fried ravioli! We went with the waitresses recs for appetizers and they were beyond delicious! But honestly, we got a couple of the house favorites and every dish we had was great - bruschetta, alla vodka pasta with shrimp, rigatoni bolognese, yum! We sat in the backyard bar, which has high top tables & a cute atmosphere - but you can also sit in the main area or on the patio in nicer weather (can't wait to try that out). We made a reservation and were glad we did because it was really busy on a Friday night. I rarely venture to the Westfield area, but this spot is worth it!

I read so many great reviews. Went for my Birthday dinner . Was so disappointed. I think Italian House has overstretched itself. You know how when sometimes places get too big... the quality of the food suffers? That must be what happened here- No love in anything at this place. The food tasted very Chef Boyardee-ish. We had the veal saltimbuca and the ossa buca. Meh. Decent portions. Flavor lacking. I have buyers remorse. Great cocktails I must say.

Not one thing to complain about! First time here and everything was lovely. The servers were kind, the food was excellent, the ambiance was cozy and romantic. The Italian House was recommended by several coworkers. I will also be recommending this place and hope to come back during the summer. I would love to have to outdoor experience.
