I’ve ordered to go many times, but my last visit was not great. The sushi was great but ordered two steak hibachi meals as well and they hardly had any meat or veggies it was very disappointing steak was dry. Also the yum yum sauce was not what it used to be.

The sushi is absolutely delicious at Takumi Sushi Hibachi. This little locally operated Japanese diner is located in a newer strip mall in Whitestown. (Takumi means artisan in Japanese.) You order at the counter then find a seat. The menu has an extensive selection of rolls. They also offer hibachi meals and bento boxes. They carry mostly Pepsi beverages with a few miscellaneous drinks such as Red Bull and sparkling water. There is no alcohol. For lunch, they feature sushi roll with miso soup combination. The freshly made rolls come out fairly quickly. The miso soup comes out hot and delicious. The sushi is presented beautifully, served with wasabi and pickled ginger. The Fire Cracker roll is spicy hot and delicious, my favorite of the Classic rolls. The cream cheese soothes the heat from the jalapeños perfectly. The breading is delicious on the roll. The Spicy Shrimp roll is also delicious with a perfect amount of spicy heat. The Shrimp Asparagus roll is a wonderful combination of fresh and tasty....a favorite. They have seven tables to dine-in but most people order delivery.

Food gets five stars service gets zero..It pains me to give this restaurant 2 stars as I absolutely love the food but do not go to Takumi if you want to get your food in a reasonable amount of time.The last THREE times I've been here I've waited 40 + minutes for pickup orders. Today I waited 80 minutes before I got my food and only got it that soon as I kept asking for my food.This restaurant needs to come up with some system or organization to keep their orders situated as whatever they're doing now doesn't work.
This place is amazing, the food, the service everything was sooo great. I like the way how Melody took care of us. She a very amiable. Will definitely come back.

I can't believe that we've been sleeping on Takumi Sushi and Hibachi! We were craving Hibachi for lunch and decided to give them a whirl since we usually order sushi and miso soup to go. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint! We ordered the Hibachi shrimp & chicken and the Hibachi steak and both meals were flavorful, delicious and reasonably priced compared to their competition; Harmony Steakhouse. The staff are friendly and I'd highly recommend them to anyone in the area or if you're wanting to try something new....you will not be disappointed!

This was a great spot to stop for lunch while we used the nearby Tesla supercharger! The atmosphere was calming and kid friendly. We especially liked the pork ramen, Hawaii poke bowl, and the fried Oreos were a surprising favorite of ours. Will be returning on our next road trip!
