“We live in Illinois and had visited here in the past. It was so delicious! We made sure that we stopped here for fried chicken dinners. Absolutely delicious! My mother is a “connoisseur “ of fried chicken, and she says that it is about the best she has ever tasted. It’s fried in lard, which sounds strange, but it’s amazing! Don’t miss out on the creamed corn, Cole slaw or pickles either. The peaches look like regular canned peaches, but they are so much better! Veronica, our waitress, was friendly and efficient, and Daniel was so helpful, knowledgeable, and a great representative of your restaurant!I’m having a hard time finding any negatives here ( it is a bit expensive at $24 per dinner), but I absolutely recommend checking the hours and days, and make sure you come here! Interesting history too!“

“The food was Excellent!! They were short staffed but our waiter was wonderful!! Make sure you have a reservation. People walking in were turned away without one. My only complaint was not being greeted at the front door by a Hostess and waited in line before someone came to seat us.“
