“We were told about this little restaurant and it's delicious food, it didn't disappoint. The steak sandwich is cooked with caramelized onions and has a very good flavor. I chose fries as a side and again, was not disappointed. The sandwich is a generous portion, enough for one hungry guy, a couple of our guests shared their order. I ordered a frozen strawberry margarita and it was good, probably wouldn't order it again. We didn't make time to drive around the lake, which is literally just across the road, we definitely plan on going back. I recommend this unique little restaurant if you want to get out of town.Very good service, our food was well prepared and fast service. Incidentally, there's a nice deck in front with outdoor seating, it'll be a great option on a nice day.”

“Hubby and I loved this little coffee shop! We were traveling through the area and happened to stumble upon this gem. The owner was so friendly and gracious and the coffee was delicious. The owner seemed to truly have a passion for her craft and her customers!”

“Reserved a birthday package. It was not what I expected when I arrived but lanes and seating were reserved for our very large party. Staff was not friendly at all. The place was packed. Got the pleasure of meeting Mary the owner, who is definitely a hands on worker in her place....what a pleasant, welcoming lady, as was other staff. We will definitely be back.”

“I did not get to eat here but several locals at Cheney State Park highly suggested their breakfast. They have limited hours of operation. 8am-2pm Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday Not for sure why it doesn't come up on google (restaurant near me search)?Hoping I got the address updated correctly. Update, I ate there this morning, (8-28-22) buffet setup the food was good and fresh, really enjoyed the French toast!Will definitely eat there again while staying at Cheney State Park.”

“This is a great place for ice cream. Their food is good as well but the ice cream is amazing. I grew up eating the flavor burst ice cream and there are only a few places close to me that I can get it in Kansas. If you want to go to a small family style diner. This is the place for you. The staff is super nice and we've never had a bad experience.”

“Getaway is a great place to grab a burger and fries. Their double bacon cheese burger is a full pound and super tasty. The atmosphere is very down home, small town. The beer is always cold cooking right out of an ice bath. Blake and his crew do an excellent job. Take the short drive west and give them a try. You will be happy you did.”
