Normally, I'm not going to review a giant like MacDonalds, but since Google reviews are specific to locations, I'll keep this updated as I visit. While normally my visits to the Derby K15 location is uneventful, this weekend was the exception. I always order the same thing on the weekend; #4 Breakfast with and Orange Juice - a Sausage Egg Biscuit meal. Let's ignore for the moment the fact that the price has skyrocketed in the past few years. The woman that often works the first window is outstanding, The second window.... Well that's a bit of a crapshoot, lol. This weekend, the young man that opened the window asked, "Sausage Egg Biscuit with cheese and a medium orange juice?" To which I replied, it should just be a regular sausage egg biscuit - no cheese. He stammered, "oh yeah, no cheese." I reinforced, "You said initially with cheese - if there is cheese on it, that wrong." He quipped, "No, I never said cheese, this is right!" ..... Of course as I drive away from the window I checked the sandwich and low and behold.... There is cheese on it. I never understand how this happens. Regardless of the McDonald's, about 20% of the time I receive cheese on my regular sausage and egg biscuit. I digress. The young lady at the inside counter was very helpful and very pleasant. I don't make a fuss about the mistake because ultimately I just want my breakfast. My main point here is this. The drive through window at fast food restaurants are now the heart of the product delivery. I suspect the overwhelming majority of business is conducted this way now compared to the near vacant lobbies. Getting the order right is perhaps the primary responsibility of the staff next to provide quality food. The Window person should be the Top Quality control agent in this endeavor. Select team members that are up to the task. Not someone that given the opportunity to get it right, argues with the customer.... and still gets it wrong...

I think it’s crazy how they make people wait for food. They will literally have a line of 4-5 cars waiting for their food. They will fill up both drive thru spots and then the 5 spots in front! Still get the food and then get mad at the customer! Like get it together!

This is quite possibly, the slowest McDonalds I have ever been to. I waited at the speaker after being greeted, for about 5 minutes. Because I'm typically very patient I didn't worry too much about it however this is not a single occurrence at this location as this happens every single time I go there. I checked to make sure my food was accurate when I was finally done, and to my surprise it was. There is only a 10% chance of that ever being the case and I usually have to make MULTIPLE visits into the building or back through the drive thru. About 6 hours after eating my kids complained of a stomach ache. Both ended up throwing up and have been ever since. We are assuming food poison because they had the same things. This location is so convenient and not until recently have I had so many issues. We will not be back thankfully.

Breakfast OK but lady behind counter taking order was sniffing coughing wooing her nose and obviously had a major flu. Why is she taking my money and handing me change and my drinking cup?? This is unacceptable!!!!

This location is improving by the day! We all have bad runs in life, and some people have been quite harsh on their reviews for this location. Mistakes happen and sometimes we fail. If you live in the same smallish-mediumish town as any of the places you eat, bashing/running them into the ground is like burning a bridge to family. Don't do that! Don't be part of the problem! Help them or just be patient...don't make poopies where you live. ????Last few times we went the order was correct and we didn't wait long. Expect to pull around the front and wait. Don't be angry. Be patient and watch the changes happening.
Worst McDonald’s. I very occasionally get McDonald’s, and I don’t know why I do because it never fails, this place will give you the nastiest burnt food that clearly sat out for a while. My meal yesterday was inedible. Waste of time and money.

This place really continues to leave me happy, they are always consistent with the good service and the fries always on point. My grand baby gets her fries and smoothie and the people at the drive thru always are polite, this is the best location in derby and Wichita, thank you all so
