It was recommended by a friend and I really loved the food. I had a special for the day - garlic shrimp with salad and Mexican rice and ice tea. I got 4 flour tortillas and grilled shrimp (2 sizes) with grilled onions ( best I've ever had) and minced garlic. The salad was delicious and had avocados in it. I also had Mexican rice instead of spicy rice. It reminded me of my mom's Spanish rice. I'm sure I will go back and try a burrito bowl.
I have gotten the burrito twice now and got the el pastor and Barbacoa and both have been exceptional. It's just a tad on the dark side.Vegetarian options: Plenty of veggies and rice.
Plenty of Mexican restaurants in Emporia but this one uses various sauces that are unique to this area including interesting herbs and spices. Though they look pretty much alike there are subtle differences. We enjoyed our meal and will be back.
