We have been coming here for years. Always loved their food. Might be new owner/cook. Their Nem cuon(37) no longer have the crunchy egg roll wrap inside. (Which makes their spring rolls stand out from others.)We ordered Bun bo hue(12) that came out no different from Pho but sweeter broth. Come with few slices of flank steak. No veggies until we asked for it. We thought they mess up the order but he said that's their bun bo hue. (If you Google it you'll know what I mean) Also nothing like their menus pics.We ordered 7 Rice and pork chop special(16) to go. Which suppose to come with rice, pork chop, shredded pork, fried eggs, egg cake omelet and pickles veggies.You can see from the pic how disappointed we were when I brought food home to the family. Each box have 2-3 small piece of pork, rice and fried egg. Some have a single grill shrimp and others don't.

This was our 2nd time eating here. I liked the food better this time but after our server brought our food, he did not check back with us. We decided to order another set of spring rolls and I had to send my niece over to him to ask him to place the order. We both had pho, mine had quail eggs, shrimp and meat. The broth in it was delicious. The spring rolls were good as well. My niece loves pho so we like having that option when we visit Garden City.

So sorry to report that the food was not good. Chicken taste as if it had been in the freezer for a long time. Sauce was lacking flavor. Would not Rec.

*** I had pictures of the filth and they keep deleting them. I'm not a person that is overly worried about cleanliness. I normally would say they're busy or they will get to it soon but this was beyond that. ***My first review was this:I enjoy the food and the sense of a "neighborhood café" that you get when entering.**** Edit to say that a month ago I came in and the cleanliness has definitely went down hill it's absolutely grimmy! That time my sandals wanted to stay on the floor, the ceiling tiles are so dirty around the vents that they are black there. The waiter is on his phone so much that he doesn't see to your needs. I don't think the ceiling fans have ever been wiped off. Maybe I was having a bad day and they were too, I may give them one more chance...*** So I gave it a month and decided to try once again... only because the other Vietnamese restaurant in town was Closed by the time my appointment was over.... soo the ceiling, fans, walls still filthy. The floor was actually not sticky. I ordered the spring rolls and #13 meal. To be honest Sam's has better spring rolls than this time, normally i love them here, and my shrimp on my meal was one lone prawn, the egg rolls that were in the meal, were extremelygreasy. The rest of the food in the bowl was good. Those two dishes and a water cost me 19 dollars.** I truly am surprised that the health people let this place be. I am normally not one to give this kind of review but it truly was filthy**

So today I had lunch there by myself and my bill was $26 for myself and go up to pay and there's this container full of fortune cookies so I take one and eat it waiting for the employee to run my card so I can pay and as I'm eating the fortune cookie he looks at me looks at the cookie in my hand and he puts the container behind the counter so I apparently don't take another one or all of them and that not only cost a tip but a customer and ill never eat there again. At $26 if I want to take 10 fortune cookies I will but I only had one and that was a disrespectful move on their part. Your shrimp fried rice is bland anyways

OK, the place looks run down from the outside, but the Pho was spot on. I just moved here from a bigger city and was craving for some Asian food after eating mostly Mexican the last two weeks. I will be back to try more!
