What a travesty. Had ribs, burnt ends and some sides. Everything was tasteless. Clearly whatever made this place great is no longer there, or the last two time I tried this place over the years. They’re running on past goodwill and popularity at this point.

By the line out the door, you might expect the BBQ to be great. It isn't. Meats with no mojo drowned in too-sweet sauce. Really? Good onion rings and very friendly service.

This has to be so far my favorite bbq place I’ve ever been to. I haven’t been to many bbq restaurants but it’s my top choice so far. I tried the brisket sandwich and the chicken sandwich. I’ve got to say both were super juicy, tender, and delicious. I can see why the folks here in Kansas City love this restaurant. I was recommended by a friend of mine from here and he for sure was right about this restaurant. If you want a good bbq restaurant then you have to come to joes. I think the brisket sandwich is for sure what you have to come and try. The sandwich I got was called the Z man sandwich. Me, my family, and friends loved this place. Service was very good, fast, and the staff was super friendly. The restaurant was packed but it was easy to find seating and we were a huge party of 15. Very family friendly restaurant. Very kid friendly restaurant.
