The best poviticia ever! Puts the other big place to shame.Their pineapple rolls & cinnamon rolls are also wonderful. So easy to work with them on any special orders too!
Nice little place for baked goods and meals-to-goWheelchair accessibility: Not much room to move a chair around in there but since it's to go, not a lot of worry. People there are pleasant and will step outside or move over.
I love trying local bakeries, I generally purchase 2 or 3 different options. Cookes and Cinnamon Roll and whatever the store speciialty. Cinnamon Rolls were sold out. I purchased 3 items. Choc Chip Cookies had very few chips, but it was a perfect tollhouse cookie, Frosted Sugar Cookies have pockets of unincorporated Salty Something. Big bite of salt. I am hoping the Povitica Bread is amazing. Hold your breath. Nope, the bread is great, light and slightly sweet but the cream cheese filling needs some flavor, even if only a splash of vanilla and a tablespoon of sugar. The lady that helped me was wonderful . the quaint shop has room for 2 people in the customer area. We were at capacity.Wheelchair accessibility: If you get the chair through the door, you will have to back out. Carefully.

They actually make povitica with an old world grandma's recipe. It so much better than the commercially produced from strawberry hill.

I ❤ Mema's Bakery and have been a longtime customer for many, many years. I mentioned to a friend I would be stopping by and between the two of us we ordered two walnut and one cream cheese potivica, one apple and one cherry strudel, one boston cream pie and two brownies. Everything was absolutely delicious. If you want the freshest and best quality bakery items, made and served with love by some of the best people on the planet at very affordable prices, do yourself a favor and stop by Mema's Bakery. I know I'll be back - soon!

I was recommended here for their gluten-free & highly recommend. I had an old school gluten-free chocolate chip cookie & the turkey sandwich (gluten-free bread!). Buttery & delicious, I will come back : )! Family run & good vibes.

We just discovered this little joint. It's right by our house and while we were only seeking a donut, we came out with a bag or two full.I love the ma and pa feel and how they place their desserts about the store.Cinnamon rolls are the best! Glad we discovered and look forward to going back.
A quaint, cozy space with the sweetest lady. I had the cabbage soup and turkey melt. Delicious and nicely priced. I can't believe I've never stopped in. I'll definitely be back

Been following this bakery for almost 30 years. Has moved a couple of times and had cafeteria service in KCKCC for a year or so. My favorite is the lemon bars. Cookies are good too! They have donuts, rolls, pies, and provitica loaves. Occasionally I get the lunch special. Reasonably priced and tasty. Friendly staff. Beverages available also.
