Had the best experience for lunch at Ms R's. I drove 15 miles to try this place in KCK, and I am glad I did.The place is cozy, but clean and adorned with homages to Dr. King, Ruth (Ms R), and a painting of a black last supper.I honestly came for the soul food sides. So I got a small double cheese burger, and a side of collard greens, stuffing and yams. Really great food for the price!

The food is authentic and amazing. Prepared with pride homemade food! I have had the neck bones and the pork chops. Can't wait to have the smothered steak and baked chicken. Sides have all been really good. Black eyed peas, cabbage, yams, green beans... This place makes me eat more than I probably should LOL.

Nice warm greeting at the door. If you like little neighborhood cafes, this is your kinda place. Small and quaint. Ms. R definitely needs to spruce the place up a bit. She's been cooking in this location for over 20 years, and it's time. The double cheese was huge and the fish sandwich was fresh. If I'm in the area I will be back. They seem to have some good dinner specials.
