Parking: Our family was looking for a BBQ spot and found Slap's. Everything about the place from ordering to eating was absolutely fantastic. If you are looking for a traditional spot, this is the place.

This was my second time trying Kansas City bbq. My initial experience was at Joe’s bbq and that was excellent. Due to this, I had high standards coming here, and while the food was good, it wasn’t quite to the level of Joe’s.I tried the ribs, brisket and burnt ends. The ribs were good, but I wish they had a more smoked taste. Mainly tasted like the bbq sauce or seasoning. The brisket was sadly pretty flavorless. The burnt ends, however, were excellent. The smoke flavor permeated throughout each bite, which is what I look to in my bbq. This was the only dish that surpassed that of Joe’s.

The brisket was very dry, the ribs were ok. The one I would have next time would be the pull pork.

First time at this well-known KC BBQ place. Line was about 20 people on mid Sunday afternoon but it moved fast. Lots of QR codes the scan their menu. Generous portion of Brisket on "The Sandwich". Lots of ribs being served. Huge screened in patio for dining in with some roof top picnic tables as well.Parking: Big lot across the street.

Visiting KC from Florida, came here for lunch after a server at Stockhill recommended the place, friendly service and recommendations, amazing BBQ, particularly liked the burnt ends, ribs, cheesey corn, and baked beans. Can add 1-3 ribs to any order. Have beer on tap, outdoor patio for seating, and they clean up the tables regularly. Would definitely recommend, and wish they sold merch!! Would buy a shirt for sure

I measure all BBQ places by their pulled pork. The pulled pork I had here was very bland. It tasted like what I can make in my crockpot without the seasoning. The BBQ sauce was the consistency of orange juice and way too sweet for my taste. I ordered a side of baked beans and they were so sweet I had to trash them. The staff was nice and efficient.

Best bbq in KC by far. Cattlemen platter is the perfect variety. 2 sides, enough to share. Sub for the sausage for spicy jalapeño cheddar sausage ?

The food is superb. It was nice to have the ribs. The room was like a tent in a summer camp. The restroom was simply shocking and I decided not to sit on the toilet.Allover I would go here again for the food. After several recommendations I expected too much.
