We went an hour before they closed. The restaurant was clean. The appetizers, pizza, and spaghetti were hot and delicious. Our waitress was efficiently closing down the dining room while being perfectly attentive to us. All the staff was friendly, and they were performing their nightly duties with what looked to be great efficiency. The managers appear to be managing their staff well and providing a positive work environment. I highly recommend Old Chicago Pizza in Lawrence, Kansas.

Great for bar food. Not fancy or fine dining at all. But for bar food it was delicious. I had a Caesar salad and it was decent. Husband loved his chicken fingers so much that he ordered another. Beer selection is great.

Things hanged for sure. Had to wait 15 min to get water and a soda. The amount of meat in our calzones was very limited. Then, we had to ask for a refill on the soda.
My husband and I were there a couple weeks ago and after he used the restroom he went to wash his hands, he said there were roaches in the sink! We will NOT be going back!
They keep giving me kids sized everything. I know I’m like 5’2 but it’s still insulting.

I believe Old Chicago Pizza to be one of the finest chain restaurants in this price range. The calzone is homemade and phenomenal. I really like the chicken Caesar salad also. And I think their Pizza is underrated.Vegetarian options: Not much but salad for vegetarians

I love Old Chicago happy hour (in other cities), have been to quite a few, so I ordered a beer, Italian nachos, jalapeño pretzel bites, and bone-in wings. The jalapeño pretzel bites were over cooked, the Italian nachos had NO cheese and over cooked had mostly pepperoni on it, the marinara was only half full and super watered down, and the wings came out boneless instead of bone-in, even after a conversation about that costing $1 more. What’s going on?? This was a redemption visit, first time wasn’t much better. Theymust be struggling to stay above water. The manager on duty didn’t care what I thought because she never did anything to make me, the customer feel better about the poorest quality of food that I have witnessed in this wonderful city. Come on- this is Lawrence, KS! Do better!! Tried to reach out to Corey, the manager, but they gave me the store number, then hung up on me when I asked for a return call. Terrible experience!!!

I need to eat here a couple more times to judge more of the food....but ...If you have a problem at an establishment and you don't voice it then just come on here to trash them, there's only one real problem.That being said. Any issues I've had have been rectified and ameliorated. Service was on point, atmosphere is both sporty and family friendly. I dig it.Extra star for the young man reading. Didn't know that Gen knew what a paperback was.
