Saw the Wax Bodega tour there. It's a great mid-sized venue for smallish bands, yet still intimate enough where everyone is close together.

Good venue with a decent amount of seating. Low key dive adjacent vibes. They pick up smaller acts that can't fill the Granada or other venues in KC. I'm glad it's around.

Fun night with free bands. Was disappointed that the show was over around 9 and they shut down the bar and kicked everyone out. Seemed like a great opportunity to open the dance floor and keep the party going.

Great place for live music. It's much cleaner and more open than when I was going there frequently 20 years ago. It has been a long time since I had been there and I was really surprised by how much nicer of a place it is now.

Spent many nights of my five years of bliss attending KU! This was the 1980's, under the ownership of Mona. The 80's were a great time for new musical genre's, and the Bottleneck was the only venue within 300 miles to see some bands that you could not see until you hit LA or NY.
