The West Coast Saloon is a great place for an after work beverage. It is laid back and not presumptuous. Nothing fancy but it gets the job done. Service was fast and friendly.

We just went there for their burger after a KU game and we were not disappointed. In my opinion, this place is in the top 5 list of best places to get a beef burger(it's definitely in my personal list). We did it find that the place felt a bit unclean and the service was slow( they appeared to be understaffed).
Woo Burger = A+ Dive/Sports/Pool bar with solid burgers and very cold beer. Quick service, lots of screens.

I'm assuming the manager was completely rude to my mom tonight. She was trying to compliment them on being much better tonight than our last (very terrible) carryout order. He said "what do you want? I have two seconds." when she tried to talk to him. She told him they did a wonderful job tonight and that it was much better than last time, and he said "I don't know what to tell you" very rudely. We were rushed through ordering and he was so rude, but we still wanted to compliment them after all that. We are regulars here but have noticed that there are places who actually appreciate their customers, and like to hear when people have an "off day" visit.

The definition of a Sports Bar. hands down, the best bacon, jalapeno, cheese burger, in Lawrence, or anywhere. Ice cold draft beer served in a chilled glass. Dave, and his staff, never met a stranger, and do all they can to keep up at game time. Best brackets for March Madness, as well.
