“this is a small place and easy to miss. the service was amiable and the food was excellent. the portions were just right. 3 of us ordered the jerk chicken. it is a touch on the spicy side but unlike some spice that just burns this was full of flavor. Everything on the plate is gluten, dairy and nut free (except coconut in the rice). One of us ordered the soup of the day because she wasn't that hungry. The bowl was huge and she couldn't finish it. They make their own hot sauce and we bought a bottle to go. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the music selection was uniquely islander. We will definitely head here again.Dietary restrictions: They make everything themselves and the jerk chicken meal with rice and cabbage was all gluten, nut, egg, and dairy free. They know their ingredients and were happy to make sure we ate delicious and safe for us food.“
“I came across this restaurant late while trying to decide what I wanted on my last night in town. I called the restaurant and asked about if they still had the oxtails with thirty minutes to spare before closing. The gentleman said yes and took my order over the phone so it would be ready by the time I got there. Little did I know that the restaurant was less than five minutes away. Fast forward, I get there and ended up sitting down. The owner, Dave, was very welcoming and engaging. I sat stayed and was able to enjoy a good home cooked meal along with good conversation. Dave makes everyone who comes feel like you are right at home. I will say one day I will try ginger beer. Good prices, chill vibes.. go check his place out if you’re in the area.“
