“What a lovely bakery! I was in town helping my cousin get ready to move and she recommended Sis' Sweets. Cookies galore! And delicious every one. I got a sampler to take back for all the kids. We had a great time trying all the cookies. They decorate with the historical township in mind perfect since they are right across from the hay market. There are actual hand carved carousel figures on the wall. I learned so much about the history of Leavenworth while visiting there. It sounds like there is a working carousel just a few blocks away and that area was the largest maker of carousel figures at one point. They were also getting ready for a cookie decorating with Santa the next day. I loved that they were so involved with the community. If I was to move to Leavenworth someday. This is where I'd want to work. Thank you again for the lovely visit.I would note that coffee isn't readily available. But they gladly brewed me a fresh pot. ?
