For an old-fashioned diner experience, this is it! Loose meat sandwiches (like Maid-rite?) were very good. Onion rings are excellent. Interesting old photos on the walls. Service was excellent and super friendly staff.

I am personally not a fan of loosemeat burgers and I would have preferred more seasoning. This is simply my preference, but the staff was great and the historic photos create a great atmosphere. If you are thick, the booths will be a little tight, but they have "bar" seating.

I understand this is a historical restaurant in this town, but the food that was served here is a bad and way overpriced. I went with 3 other people who were all as highly disappointed as me. I got the famous loose meat burger and the should change that to the famous sawdust burger if it wasn't for the pickle and mustard it wouldn't had tasted like anything at all and the meat was like beef dust. I don't even know if it was hamburger or even beef because there was little to no shape to it and tasted like mustard. I have been putting off going here for a long, long time because I never saw the appeal of getting a sloppy joe without the sloppy part. There's no way I would ever go back nor suggest anyone waste their time or money there.

Just bad. The burger was cold. Not lukewarm. Cold. The chili was room temperature. My wife said this about her Frito Pie: "This would be pretty good if it were hot." I'm not sure why everything was so bad. All the dishes were very bland and flavorless. I don't know how they've been open so long with such bad food. Maybe it was an off day in the kitchen. The owner and staff were genuinely nice people. They were so kind and warm. The place was spotless. I hate to give these nice people a bad review but their terrible food earned it. If you're looking for something amazing like the NuWay in Wichita, this is NOT it.

The concept is like Maid Rite, but taste nothing like it. Gross, I could not even finish the sandwich, the meat color is a very light tan. The fried mushrooms were gross as well. I usually give a restaurant, another chance, but no thank you.

This place has great food but there is a problem with handicap access as my oversize walker would not go thru the door that they have and a power chair might not fit either. Also the tv that they have can be distracting.

Fun little vibe to the place but the food is sorely disappointing. The Nu-Way (loose meat) burger is maybe 2 tablespoons of unflavored meat on a Walmart white bun. Onion rings, 3 small pieces of cod, and fries are your standard frozen stuff bought in. I’ll then overcooked in rancid grease. A burger with onion rings, fish with fries, and 2 beverages came to $30, which is ridiculous. The service was super friendly, though.
1st time vist.Their tenderloins were so thin and small you could barely taste it on the bun. No flavor.Disappointed with the quality of the food...but the lady who took our order was great.
