We went to Bamboo Penny's last night. The menu has a lot of choices. Started out with a Soju Colada. It's a pina colada.. Another couple and their 18 month old daughter joined us. The staff and our waiter were fabulous. The couple had brought a high chair to attached to the table. The waiter helped try and get it to fasten to the table along with the father. The two couldn't get it to work so the waiter promptly got a high chair. The couple had brought some food for the little one to nibble. When that was gone, the waiter brought over some diced mango and diced strawberries for the little one. It wasn't ordered. An extreme thoughtful gesture. The food was delicious.

Great place to share plates. Lots of variety of apps and entrees and everything was excellent. Pineapple fried rice gets top billing.

Ordered the mango duck & crab rangoons, and they both are musts! Many choices that you can't go wrong getting. Highly recommend this restaurant!

This place is truly unique and stands out in Overland Park among a lot of chain restaurants, its menu is high quality food that's unique & feels gourmet as well as the staff has always been super sweet and energetic whenever I come in, definitely recommend for a work group or with family or friends. I try something new everytime I come

I came for a business lunch and was delighted. I ordered the drunken noodles with chicken. Delicious food, beautifully presented, huge portions, excellent service!

The curries are excellent and they customize spice level to your liking. Creative cocktails and all sorts of Thai dishes. Service was very good and the decor adds to the ambiance.

This was my first time at Bamboo Pennys. I really enjoyed the food and the ambience upstairs. I ordered spicy drunken noodles and it was amazing and actually spicy like I wanted. The family next to us was just great and made it a fun time. We had Brian who was super chill and attentive. I'll probably come back just in hopes to have him as our server again.

Had lunch there with a friend. The food was wonderful and service was very good. The owner came up and spoke to us to find out how things were. That was old fashion service greatly appreciate and I plan to
Unfortunately this place has lost its way. We used to be regulars, we've chatted with the owner and made a habit of coming for happy hour. sadly the service started going down hill and now the food is there with it.We sat upstairs, where the ambiance is poor when the roof is enclosed. If you are given that option reject it.It took 20 minutes for service and when it arrived they asked for our entire order at once. The prices are too high for such a dining experience. If I want quick inattentive service I'll go to any other low quality Thai place. The food when it arrived was ok, nothing special and not worth the price/service combo. I can't recommend this place any longer.
Excellent food & service. My first time experiencing an upscale Thai place and I loved it - my favorite was the appetizer combo and the spring rolls were to-die-for. Must try!!Parking: Parking garage is around the corner, 5 min walk to your car, parallel parking outside that is 2 hour limit.

Nice place in many ways.Medium was bland for our whole group, the pad Thai was ok,but didn't have much flavor. The drunken noodles were really really bland. The service was excellent, as was the atmosphere of the restaurant.
