Unfortunately we ordered spring rolls and never got them. Ordered ramen as well and were out. Other than that food was pretty good. They were busy at this visit.

Food was excellent. Service was nearly nonexistent. Asked for cocktails and appetizers while we looked at menu. Appetizers arrived, no cocktails. Waiter came to get dinner order, still no cocktails. After asking again cocktails arrived.One guest ordered a fork, waiter said they didn’t have any clean forks. One dish arrived when we were more than halfway through dinner.Second round of cocktails sat at the waiter station at the bar until we asked the bartender if they were ours. They were and bartender brought them to us. They were lacking garnish that was an integral part of the drink and when we asked why we were told they ran out.This all happened when the restaurant was less than 25% full. We left a ten percent tip which was way too much. Never going back.

Service was horrible. Sat in bar area. Witnessed the bartender give customers at the bar glasses that were dirty. Our server got our drink and appetizer order when we sat down. We waited 15 minutes and ended up leaving...we could see our drinks were rang in at the bar and ignored. Place was empty, it's typically packed during the evening @ 6pm...this should've been our first red flag. Cancelled drinks and food and went somewhere else. Disappointing, usually love this place!

RA has a great location in Leawood next to other prominent restaurants such as 801 chophouse and Bamboo Penny's. The restaurant was spacious but got the feeling we were eating in a dungeon it was so dark. Let's get this out of the way, the service was awful. Not sure if they were short staffed but our waitress had a difficult time with our table. We sat 8 in total so not overwhelming but from drinks not being available, to food being misplaced, and apps coming out after the entrees, it was a forgettable experience for sure. The food however was fantastic! My wife and I ordered the mango lobster roll. I was suspicious at first but the roll was bursting with flavor! The chicken Katsu was cooked to perfection with the Asian coleslaw complementing nicely! The spicy short ribs were so flavorful. The only complaint was that they were slightly overcooked but overall still delicious! I am big on service so my experience was disappointing. However the food alone warrants giving it another go. Might have just caught them on an off night. Highly recommended checking them out at least once!

Really disappointed at Ra Sushi. This place have definitely gone downhill. Place is dirty, floor had trash on floors, food takes forever to come out and they messed up our order. We had 8 people at our table and everyone was disappointed. Food was ok. Cooked food was overcooked. Need better staffing or management. Won't be back.
I will never patronize this establishment again. Absolutely abysmal customer service. Food was great, service was awful. We got almost all of our entrees within about 10 minutes then wewaited over 30 minutes for a mango lobster roll which was ordered at same time as everything else.... After receiving our last entree we ordered dessert and after waiting 20 minutes we asked for our check and to just cancel the dessert the waitress was like okay, she didn't care that we had been waiting forever for things then took another 10 minutes to bring us the check! This is the second time I've had awful service here within past year. I think it's too commercialized/chain feeling, I recommend going somewhere else for great sushi and service!

We have eaten here many times. Always have an amazing experience. This was not. Multiple drink orders were not put in (some cocktails, some not) so some people had to wait around. It was at least 10 minutes before the waitress and trainee came back around. Then the food was brought out horribly. 15-20 minutes between different rolls that were ordered at the same time. Then the only two entrees ordered didn't come out until everyone else was already done with their rolls. One person had the steak fried rice (which is always the best fried rice we've ever had) came out with nuggets of beef jerky! Steak was burnt to a crisp and only had 5 pieces . Not at all what we are used to. Another couple ordered the filet, shrimp and chicken, they didn't get their shrimp at all, and the filet had 6 small pieces. Again not at all what we are used to from RA. Staff all just hung out in the corner and did not wait on guests. Waitress mentioned the cooking staff was short handed but to me that is not an excuse. If you are short handed close some of the dining room to compensate for staffing. Overall we were there for 2 hours and that was not “lingering” time. That was just to sit down and eat get the checks and leave. Overall horrible experience. Truly hope the next visit is not a repeat of last night or it will most certainly be our last visit and/or recommendation of RA.
Our reservation was at 6:30, and we received all our food 1 item at a time. Our last entree arrived 8:09 and by this time our daughter didn't even want it any longer. The server said the kitchen was backed up, then said our food was being plated, then said they were comping an appetizer for the time, it was just excuse after excuse, this seemed extreme for as many open/dirty tables. Never been there before, will not return!
Love it here! The food is always so good and the staff is so helpful and accommodating!
