This was my first time at the Lenexa location and it had a great ambiance with the industrial ceilings and contemporary decoration interior decoration. We came in on a Wednesday around 5pm for an early birthday dinner. The bar are was full and the dining area started filling up throughout the dinner. As soon as we sat down, our waitress was attentive and kind to explain the menu and daily specials. The highlight of the dinner for me was the in house honey mustard! We really enjoyed the grand burger and were satisfied with the prices for most of the menu items. I think this is a great spot to meet up for lunch with friends or happy hour!

We enjoyed the splendid Easter buffet and brunch. The best we've had in the area. The only thing better than the brunch was the great service of the staff!

Ate here earlier this week and had a wonderful experience from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. My dinner guest has mobility issues and uses a cane; a gentleman at the host stand kindly offered her his arm and escorted her to our table while I parked the car. Our server had a darling, warm personality and was just the right level of attentive - not annoying but she checked in enough so that we never needed anything. Food was delicious. It's not super loud in the restaurant, which is unusual (and nice). Our server even went out of her way to wait at the front door for us and hold it open when we left. Glad to have GS in Lenexa!

We eat at Grand Street several times a month. We met some friends there the other night. We told the hostess we were going to the bar. She said they weren't busy so that was fine. There were several empty tables so rather than sitting at the bar, we sat down at a high top for 4 right next to the bar. The hostess appears immediately and very aggressively scolded us for taking a table. She could have explained rather than attacking us. I will never feel comfortable again in there. I love their menu and their servers are wonderful. The hostess is not. You can manage the seating without insulting and mistreating customers. Find a better way please.

I’ve been a GSC patron for many, many years. I had never gone to the Lenexa location until last year and would never return there. It was HORRIFIC and they COMPLETELY ruined my child’s birthday lunch. EVERY year I let my children pick whatever restaurant they’d like to be taken out to lunch for their birthday and my oldest daughter (turning 12) picked Grand Street, which should have been a solid choice. My youngest daughter always picks J. Alexanders and my son picks Paulo & Bills. I had never dined at this location and decided it would be an opportunity to enjoy their menu and not have drive so far. I should have known it might not be good when we walked in at lunchtime and it was almost empty. I ordered a MEDIUM RARE steak and Bill’s salad . The steak was practically burned (see picture). The salad was drenched in balsamic vinegar and had no honey mustard at all (see picture). I couldn’t eat neither. When I spoke to the manager, she told me the cook was new and they’d had staffing issues. She did take the items off of our bill and offered to make me new items, but I didn’t have them make me new dishes because besides not being very happy at that point and just wanting to get out of there, I doubted the cook was going to magically gain the necessary skills to do better than he’d already done. Although, she did remove the items from my bill, it didn’t make up for having ruined our day. I would still visit the original GS, but not the Lenexa location. I almost feel compelled to take my daughter all the way to the Plaza GS to show her what the experience should have been and to get that horrible taste of shoe leather, dry steak and overpowering vinegar drenched salad out of my mind. I don’t like writing bad reviews, but the experience really bothered me and still does. When you’re planning on spending $100+ for lunch, you expect the food to be better than what we received.Clarification: They replied and asked why if this happened a year ago why I waited to write my review. The answer is simple. Her upcoming birthday this year and the first thing I thought of was how disappointing her lunch was last year. Perhaps the reason you can’t find the comp is because they didn’t ring in the steak or the salad and properly adjust it off? That part isn’t something I can really comment about, just the food in the pictures. I added the receipt so that management could see that although I told the truth, rather than apologize, they insinuate that I’m a liar. I’m still angry about this and have never gone back.

The food here is absolutely amazing. Caleb the bartender is great, even if you're not hungry stop in for a drink and say hi you will have a lot of fun.

Loved the menu for Valentines! Would like to see these options on the regular menu. Would go more often but the menu does not seem to rotate very much, however food is great, just need to have more variety from standard menu.

Great meal and atmosphere. Bartenders were friendly and professional. Alex served us dinner, he was excellent and added to our evening. We are semi regular customers. We like that we can get something simple and lower cost for a casual evening, or something special for a more formal occasion. Beer and wine selection is great, desserts are excellent, overall a great place. Everyone we met was friendly and happy to be working there.

Our waiter was fantastic. Attentive but not pushy. My 2 patty smash burger was not hot when served, suppose to be 2-4ounce patties. I guarantee you there was not 8 ounces of beef on my plate. The other diner ordered fillet which was very salty. The rest of the dinner was just “ok”.

Went to GS with my mother for Sunday brunch. The cappuccino was lovely, and the food is, of course amazing. It's a bit pricey, but for a splurge it's worth it.
