I can't even express how sad I am to realize you guys closed the doors! You were truly an amazing hole in the wall and hands down my favorite burger in town! Every time I ate here I was blown away by the ingredients and flavors. You will be missed.

We LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!! Everytime we travel West for work we try to go through Kansas City and stay in Lenexa just to go here. We've even stopped to get food to go and bring it back to Des Moines. The tacos are great! Our must ALWAYS order is the Freight Train Burrito and we ALWAYS get 1/2 LB OF BURNT ENDS!!!! We are sad they had to cut there days open. We want all the locals and tourist to keep it going!!!!

Definitely wish I would have visited sooner. This place is the perfect place to go for some quick BBQ with many non-traditional options. Portions are fantastic, staff is great, and the environment is great for lunch or dinner.I would recommend the Caboose Nachos as the homemade chips are perfect and the BBQ sause balances the spice from the jalapenos perfectly.

The food was great, the service was great, and the atmosphere was family friendly. It is always clean. The food special this evening was wonderful! Chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and corn but I substituted my corn for jalapeño coleslaw. The chicken was not overly breaded and it was juicy. You must try the jalapeño coleslaw. It's very good, not overly spicy or sweet. The flavor is very balanced. This is a must try.

Okay so heard all the hype about the mac and cheese and burnt end pizza Those were fatty, chewy pieces of shoe leather. Im sorry but my husband and I were very disappointed. In fact we have all but two pieces in our frig , probably will get thrown out And we know bbq. Just got home from judging a contest in Raytown today

BBQ and things, burgers and wings. Lots of places can serve up these choices, but I love to gravitate towards the small biz warriors (#buylocal). It's a prime reason that I tried (and you should, too!) The Junction on Santa Fe. Facing the tracks off of old Downtown Lenexa, The Junction offers both indoor and patio seating plus a few select spots at the bar. It's not a huge space, so it can get loud with just a few tables taken, but if the weather allows, try the patio tables. A great bar greets you just when you walk in and the daily drink specials are rightly priced and generous in portion! We have sampled the wings (full wing!), the sandwiches (I give a hat tip to the 'Trainwreck'), and Burnt End mac 'n cheese, the ribs, and all have been outstanding. I also recommend the house BBQ chips, which can be addicting, so please proceed with discretion. Junction is somewhat disguising themselves from their BBQ offerings - hey, it's a crowded market in KC - but their BBQ game is legit. Solid, smoky sauce slathers their burnt ends and ribs, and both are done about as well as one can expect. I only knock a star because it can be cramped and noisy. What can I say? I like to hear my dinner companions. When outside, that's great, but if inside on a somewhat busy time, it can be hard to hear. Food is great, service is friendly, and location is hidden but great. Enjoy!

We moved here from Texas and each time we came to this incredible restaurant we have been so blown away. The food, the service and the server plus the Owner, Eric have been fantastic. We have never had food taste this so GREAT! Plus the prices are more than worthy because you get more than what you pay for! Pictures attached are for most of what we are and drank. You will not be disappointed.

This is amazing! I'm am not a huge barbecue person but I loved it. Everything is made from scratch with a wide variety of food. They also sell their own barbecue sauce so I got a bottle as well.

I really want to like this place. We first came here the first week or two that they were open. And the food wasn't perfect but it was pretty good and they were trying to make improvements, and the service was incredible. The young man who waited on us was the boyfriend of owner's daughter. We came back about two months later and it was not nearly as good but again it was still in young business's and it was during earlish stages of the pandemic. .A few months ago we ordered delivery and our order was wrong and thankfully they did fix the problem to the best of their ability at the time. We paid a visit last night. Sadly I really don't understand how this place is made it so long. . The food is simply just OK. I tried their spicy barbecue sauce and was not overly impressed so I ordered the barbecue nachos as my meal. The meat was actually very good but there is hardly any cheese to speak of. Though I was not impressed with the spicy barbecue sauce it's actually very good on the nachos and onion rings. With that said the nachos are lacking something. I really am not sure what it is maybe it needs more salt and maybe I should've asked for that. But there's just definitely something missing and I think some of What was missing was cheese. My husband's dinner was fairly good the sandwich meat was nice and tender but again there sauce maybe just is not for us. His sandwich came with a side of chips that tasted like they were probably four days old. As much as we want to support a small business especially once so close to home I am finding it difficult to believe that we will be back.

Love this place , the barbecue was excellent and perfectly seasoned. The drinks were tasty and very strong... And those onion rings were amazing. And be sure to try their pizzas.

This place was amazing! Started with Rangoon & Fried Mushrooms for appetizers. Everything on the menu looked good but I had to try the Freight Train "w/ Caboose" (rib on side) Man was it good! My wife had the Miss Piggy and it was really good too. Definitely recommend this place. They cater too so I'm ordering up a spread for our Red Friday office party!

My father and I are from California originally, and when we went here.... The onion rings are hands down the best I have ever had. The horseradish that came with the onion rings was a perfect dip. I had the grilled cheese which was just delightful with grilled onions and barbecue sauce with brisket. The server was cute as a big in a rug, super friendly, and brought all our food the minute it was ready. My dad and I both enjoyed this place immensely.

The Freight Train, the Caboose Nachos and the Mushroom Fries are out of this world. Highly recommended to anyone who likes BBQ. Can’t wait to try the pizza!

Food was great especially the homemade chips. I had the grilled cheese sandwich which was quite unique. It's not a large place and service was fine but they appear understaffed.
