These tamales are some of the best I've ever had - and I've had them in all three of the Americas. Don't be surprised if they run out on Saturdays because I see people carrying them out by the sackfux and boxes. They sell them by the dozen. Carnitas too. All the food is good. Yes I've had everything on the menu. The Pupusas are authentic El Salvador. Great value for the price. Quintessential hole in the wall with six booths. There is a park behind it so we usually get our food and go over there to the farmers market or just take a walk. This is truly mom and pop so if you have a big order, do them a favor and call ahead. And do the rest of us a favor by calling ahead because if you take everything they have made for the day then they won't have any left for me!

I was visiting Kansas City for a few days when my Dad and I visited this location. I love authentic Mexican food. As soon as I walked in, I knew it was going to be good. I had the 3 taco platter and my dad had the taco salad. When I say fresh I mean I heard her frying my dad's taco salad shell and chopping the veggies. My Dad ate all of his taco salad and my tacos were some of the best I've had in awhile. For some reason I was having trouble keeping food down on this trip but I had no issues eating this food. It's worth a try. If I'm ever back in KC this is where I'm going.
order a batch of tamales for your next get together, they are to die for!Parking: plenty of parking in the lot, or in the area nearby

I stopped in for a breakfast burrito. If I hadn't read the reviews I would probably not have gone in. The food is good, but the atmosphere is a bit too cluttered and it feels dirty inside. I hope they pull it together because they are very friendly and serve good food.
This place is a hidden gem! Family run place, Anita the owner and head chef is a sweet heart. She came out of the kitchen and made sure the food was great! (the food was great!!) I had the Papusas, tacos and tamales lunch combo. They were excellent, great flavor and tons of meat. Papusas were authentic and the Curtido was spot on. Very good value for the price. I would definitely recommend you stop by and try this place out. I will be back for sure.
