Good, solid cupcakes. That's what you get from here. They have a few standard flavors but every week, they have the cupcake of the week. It's almost like playing cupcake roulette but you win every time! They also have sandwiches. My daughter loves the grilled cheese sandwich. Actually both of my daughters and my grandson all love the grilled cheese sandwich. Me, I'm a fan of the Earl Grey tea latte that they make. The place is always clean and well lit. If the weather permits, sit outside and enjoy the breeze.

This was my first time at Kansas City Cupcake Co but hopefully not the last. I had ordered 30 cupcakes for a small party and we were not disappointed. There are ten regular flavors and I understand that they do others. I ordered 'Oh My Gosh Ganache', Lemon Velvet, Red Velvet, Carrot Cake, Ol' Fashioned and 'Think Pink'. All were very good. The cake was moist and flavorful. The icings were creamy and tasty. These were normal- sized cupcakes, reasonably priced at $2.65.They also serve breakfast sandwiches and lunch sandwiches. They do special order cakes too. The shop is easy to see from the street and there is off-street parking. The shop is clean and inviting. It is the type of place one would want to sit, have a cup of tea or coffee and a pastry while watching the people and cars go by.I like the cupcakes and the shop. Next time I will have to try some of their other offerings.To the owners, "Good job".

I frequent this location for lunch and have picked up cupcakes for clients and ordered cakes for events. My guests are always thrilled with the cupcakes and cakes. Lunch at the cafe is typically for me to get some solitude away from the office. The cafe is darling, very comfortable, and not too noisy. I am addicted to their BLT...just the basics but put together perfectly...and soup. Today I had their tomato bisque for the first time. Delicious! I just wished I had ordered the grilled cheese today so I could dunk it in the soup. There are few places to eat in downtown Kansas City, Kansas, and this one would be a hit anywhere.

The cake and cupcakes were beautiful and delicious, and my mom's surprise 50th birthday party was a wonderful success! Everyone was asking where I got the cake because they loved it so much. My biggest worry was the gluten free cupcakes, but people said they couldn't even tell they were gluten free. Complete success!
