I had the spicy margarita and it was excellent. We sat outside and it was nice. The spicy margarity comes in spice level 1-10. I had a 6, then an 8. I will order the 10 next time to see how hot it goes. They do not serve food. Not a,bad thing, but just being informative.

The drinks were great and trendy without the stuffiness of an uptight cocktail bar. Staff was attentive and friendly. Great place to go and have drinks inside or out.

Went last night, a Friday, for the first time after happening across it looking for cocktails nearby. I live in Mission and had no idea this was here. I hesitate to be too glowing because I want to go every night and will need a seat! ? The drinks were *chef's kiss* and staff superb - we had our own girls night and it was the best ever! My one and only request would be they have some small nibbles available. I'm sort of a lightweight with alcohol and nuts or the like would help me have that second cocktail.

We had such a good time tonight thanks to Jasmine!!Our friend wanted a Long Island iced tea but she talked to him and made something special instead- I believe it was called a “French Kiss”? Idk if that’s the official name but our friend was freaking out and then he and his partner ordered 3 more. (It was a frothy chocolate drink, you gotta get it).She clearly loved creating unique drinks and they were all so delicious! Can’t wait to visit and try the other ones. One from the summer 2024 list called “morning dew” is what I will be ordering next. Anyone who is a fan of peaches, white sangria, or anything fresh and flavorful should get it too.Oh, also! I got the spicy margarita- you have to choose the spice level (1-10). When eating spicy food, I usually get “medium”. If you also like “medium spicy” things, pick 3 or 4 for the spiciness level.Parking: Diagonal slotted parking.

My friend and I stopped by for some cocktails after dinner (Karma has good sushi down the street). It is a small location we waited about 20 minutes to get seated. Staff was very friendly and attentive. I really liked the atmosphere-it was warm and cozy. I ordered the Larkspur and Aloe Refresher, both were great- I would recommend. Overall we had a great time and will be returning!

The cocktails and atmosphere are really nice. A great addition to Downtown Mission for sure. My friends and I met up for a happy hour on a week night and had no problem getting a seat and a round of drinks. The service was good. Staff was helpful. And the seating was clean (new), classy and comfortable. Definetly a cozy place - great spot to hang out all year round. In a city with a growing list of cocktail bars, the pressure and competition is on. I would love if the Primrose would hone in on their identity. For example, the music selection felt a little random (throwback hits?) and a little out of place. Not sure if that's just because it was a quieter weeknight. But with the price of the cocktails and overall aesthetic of the interior, I expected either top hits (trendy) or something that fit the personality of the bar a bit more. Setting the mood. Additionally, I was surprised the menu didn't list the spirit brands. With most of their signature cocktails priced at $14+, guests like to know the spirit brand. Come to find out, most of their spirits are local! Which, to me, makes the cocktails more worth the price and make me more inclined to order another! Add the local spirit brands to the menu - because a lot of people aren't going to go out of their way to ask.

The Primrose is so cute. Great ambiance and excellent service. They have fun variety of cocktails -- both classic and seasonal. I enjoyed both of my drinks very much. A wonderful addition to the Johnson Dr. strip.

Popped in on a Wednesday evening. It was busy. It's super cute on the inside. They don't take reservations and we were told it would be about a 30 minute wait. So we went to the bar to order a drink while we were waiting and was told that you have to be seated to order a drink. There were no seats available. That rule makes no sense. We spoke to the manager and she said "you can only order drinks if you are seated." Huh??? That makes no sense. Needless to say we left. I probably won't go back. Poor service.

We have heard good things about this bar. However, the website says they do not accept reservations "first come first served." We went in at 5:45 p.m. There were at least 6 seats available at the bat, but they refused to seat us, saying that they had a party coming in and all their seats were booked for at least 2 hours. The Primrose's website and actions need to match! We will not be back.

Came here when this place first opened & the drinks were missing the mark, but the service was great. Tried again months later and had the opposite experience. If you sit at the bar it seems you’ll get good service but in the dining room area, don’t wait for them to come to you.

This place is great, some of the best tasting cocktails I've had in KC!

Cocktails were just ok. They all tasted the same and were out of balance. The patio is nice and the service was good.
