“We camped last night at Rocky Pond Campground and needed a place to eat breakfast at this morning. Found this little cafe only 24 minutes from the the campground in Belleville, Kansas. The little town looked all boarded up except this little cafe. The food was great and the 2 employees we met were really friendly. Restaurant was clean inside. It’s located only 3 miles off Hwy 36. They serve breakfast and lunch.”

“This place! CHICKEN ON A STICK?! Who knew? How car friendly is this? A truly kind and helpful man served me my Mandarin Chicken on a Stick. Y'all, seriously...stop here! Good stuff!”
“There are so few food stops along US 36 west of Marysville that it’s easy to think you are driving through a food desert. This Gambino’s is no mirage! Gambino’s is a regional (5 state) pizza chain known for quick service and tasty Italian dishes (my favorite is their manicotti). For lunch this Washington location (on the north side of the highway, on west side of town) offers a salad and pizza bar M-F 11-1:30. The salad bar includes fresh lettuce, potato salad, and macaroni salad along with various toppings and dressings (including my favorite, Dorothy Lynch). It’s a busy place at lunch so the 7-8 pizzas on the bar change frequently. However the staff keeps up, bringing replacement pizzas hot from the oven. Whether you make it for the lunch buffet or order from the walk-up menu, this restaurant is definitely worth a stop!”
“A small town craft brewery with a unique industrial vibe. This location in downtown Washington is slated to close in favor of a new facility on the south edge of town, although the timeframe of that wasn’t clear.”
