Ive heard so many great things about this place... Only to pull up when I arrived in town and they were closed. No notice given, just a poorly handwritten sign on the door that read: Closed for Renovations. Their google listing had not been updated, neither had their Yelp page. This was very disappointing, especially being from another state.

kevin K,

This place is amazing if you love a good seafood boil !!!!!! Crawfish, shrimp, crab, and more !!!!!Make sure your follow the purple sign to make sure you get the legit soul food !The staff makes the place feel like your at Grandmas house.

Great gumbo. Catfish sticks are plentiful and very tasty. Super friendly staff. Not fancy but very clean.

We really enjoyed our visit to GiGi's. The small dining room was packed full of very happy people diving in to their seafood boils. We had the Catfish Dinner and a Shrimp PoBoy. Very good. We'll be back. Gigi and her team were very friendly. I hope they grow enough to afford real plates and silverware. Plus, they need to be able to serve people a glass of water.

As soon as we walked in.. we were welcomed and offered samples of ettouffe and gumbo. JUST SAY YES! Olathe has been lacking a good seafood and cajun place for way too long! This is the bomb!! We had the flavorful ettouffe and the oh my goodness shrimp poboy!! What a GREAT meal!! We love to try new places... that arent chains... local mom n pop holes in the wall. This is JUST what we need in Olathe! All of us customers were talking to eachother... and every one of us loved our meals! If you are looking for authentic cajun... give it a try... you wont be sorry!

Two of my friends and I just tried Gigi's while we were doing our laundry next door and were pleasantly surprised! This is kind of a hidden business behind a large food truck but Gigi's should definitely be front and center! As we walked in the door, I could tell that whatever I was going to have here was going to be authentic with a priority on the food itself...not so much the decor. I ordered the gumbo and I must say it is the best restaurant gumbo I've ever had. Having grown up next door to a Cajun family who used to specialize in gumbo arts and etouffè design, THIS was the real deal. I've had many faux gumbo imposters but I could tell this recipe came from a long lineage of Louisiana family kitchens. My table partner was very pleased with her soul food plate with generous portions of fried chicken, ham & beans, mashed potatoes and cornbread...washed down with red Kool-Aid! I can't say that I've ever been to a restaurant that served Kool-Aid! The best part of all was that we were able to go throw our clothes in the dryer as we dined! For these reasons, I highly recommend Gigi's!

Fresh food , Tasty , Definitely worth every penny. I got the dirty rice turkey leg Has to be the best turkey leg I've ever had. Also got the crawfish etouffee, Etouffee and gumbo is bomb - they give free samples. My date got the Rib tip sandwich and a side of mac.. delicious. Definitely recommended and will be back. Some of these reviews probably just don't have the acquired taste of southern cuisine.

Just like sitting in your mom's kitchen, eating remarkable Cajun. The decor is authentic Louisiana and the dishes are amazing. Try the catfish. It's melt in your mouth and crispy yummy on the outside. And the cobbler egg rolls will make you want to order another order to go. The best, though, is chatting with Jackie.

Honestly I came home and the egg roll tastes like pure grease. There is no sauce barely in my tray. They gave me very minimal for almost 50$ and it took a long time to get it. I can't believe you all charged me all this and my food isn't even hot. I'd like to know how you run your business behind them curtains.

I went to this store because they have good reviews. But after I visited this place, I feel all the other reviews are not real.. ?Way over priced for the food and they charged $2 for water. We had a sample of the gumbo and it was full of meat but when our bowl of gumbo came out there was 0 meat. WTH?! Food taste is not that great. Never going back to this place.

This establishment has thee BEST food ever. Their flavors are always bold and hitting in all the right spots. Their gumbo and etouffee are AMAZING. There is a restaurant called "Jonathan's" next door that has an big yellow sign pointing towards his door saying seafood, that is NOT the right restaurant. Their food does not compare to Gigi's Seafood where you can tell its made from people from Louisiana. Its small and not as flashy as the place next door but the food is significantly better and cheaper. Will be going back for more. Thanks!!

A no frills family owned place with big flavor :) We loved being able to start with samples of gumbo, étouffée, and red beans. We ordered a full étouffée and shrimp po boy. Both delicious!

I went and ordered some chicken wings and fries. While I was waiting they provided me a sample of red beans and rice. It was delicious. The wings were amazing. The Buffalo sauce on the wings was very good. It came with fries and Texas toast. This where I’m going to get my wing fix. Thank you.
