Arguably the best BBQ in the KC area. The Z man sandwich was my favorite for years, but lately I've been getting their Carolina sandwich and adding two onion rings to that. Make sure you get their tasty fries to share with someone else. Pork ribs are seasoned just right. Big Red soda served at the fountain ?

Have been here a few times. Pretty tasty. Line was out the door. Hubby had Z Man and I had the pork Z Man. Fries are delicious! I was expecting a little more mustard in the potato salad but that may just be a personal preference.

Being from Wi we don't have access to good quality BBQ but every time we go through Kansas City we stop here because its that good. Try the Z Man, you won't be disaapointed!!! We even ship the food back to Wi.Kid-friendliness: My two kids who are super picky eaters loved their pulled pork.

I’m spending way too much money trying this “greatest BBQ in America”. The gulf states hands down across the board is significantly better.Chicken tender moist no taste. More like baked than smoked.Ribs really good not great. Smoke is good. My guess is they hang their hat on the ribs.Sausage had a strong sage or tarragon flavor. Turn off .Sides:Potato salad. EmbarrassingBBQ beans Very averageTexas Toast seamed to be stale bread.With all that said. If you like sweet sauce then you can hide the lack of technique with a lot of that.If I was dragged in again I’d get the ribs and fries for the side

Yeeehaw! Best believe, this is some finger lickin' good BBQ! KC Joe's never disappoints. The burnt ends were juicy and tender, and the bun was pillowy-soft. Definitely a melt-in-your-mouth type of situation. Usually I opt for the baked beans or fries, but decided to try the dirty rice. Boy oh boy, was it delicious! I was definitely surprised by the flavor. It had a nice little kick, but also had savory flavor from the sausage. Best of all, it wasn't dry, it was...I'm gonna say it....MOIST! I'll be ordering that again. It was also my brother's birthday and the cashier threw on a free apple cobbler to be enjoyed after our savory, sweet meat. They have great local KC beers on tap as well and they even had an NA boulevard option! Tight. Proud to be a KC native.
