One of my favorite BBQ places, but the last couple of weeks I've tried to get something on Monday evening and they weren't open... at all. Have the hours changed, or is all okay?

It's been a number of years since I've been to Smokin Joe's. It's just a few blocks from my office so I've been there many times but finally gave up on them. They use way way too much sauce and the sauce is too sweet for my liking but the barbecue itself is very bland and dry typically. The customer service is lacking to average and, like most bbq, its quite expensive. Complaints or special orders will be met with a little subtle hostility from the cashiers and servers. Save yourself the money and hassle and go elsewhere there are several really good barbecue places in Olathe

Please do not go here. My girlfriend and I ordered a full slab of ribs, brisket, and the pulled pork. The brisket was very dry and chewy with no seasoning some pieces were hard. The pulled pork was very dry with no kind of seasoning. As for the slab of ribs, the ends were overcooked and very dry and the center was undercooked and very dry as well. No flavoring and hard to eat without any kind of bbq sauce. The only pleasant thing we got was their mac and cheese. And it tastes as if it were box-made. And the cherry on top was the hair that we found in our food.

man this old day before meat having place is horrible it taste like they cook the meat on Sundays for the whole week I almost choked to death the meat was so dry and not to mention the rude Hillbilly that took my order ... HATED IT WONT BE GOING BACK

My go-to place for ribs in KC! The only side I've tried is the beans, which are good, but not the best in town. But the ribs... I eat them straight, without sauce, and they have the best flavor I've found in KC! The sauce is good, too, and I'll use a little sometimes, but I don't want to mask the smoked flavor of the meat. If you love tender, meaty, smokey ribs, go to Smokin' Joe's!

Smokin' Joe's BBQ: Ham, pork and turkey were good. The sausage was great. The beef had a good flavor was just a bit dry. As for the sides, the beans were phenomenal. The potato salad was delicious. The mac & cheese was just mac & cheese. The corn on the cob was water logged. The spicy sauce was was very good.

When someone asks, "Can I get some sauce?", and told, "It's in the bag, then I ask, can I get spicy sauce as well and then told, "It's in the bag", when she knew dang well it wasn't! NO MASKS! Cashier had no mask, kitchen staff no mask. Pulled pork should be smoked, therefore it would have a little smoke flavor, nope it tasted boiled and bland. Beef had no flavor and mostly fat and gristle. Turkey had some flavor, but still a low quality of meat. Worst bbq, I've tasted. Fries and onions rings weren't bad, but the only items that were worth the money.

Popular night for BBQ. Had yummy combo sandwiches and fries. There was a wait as they were short handed but hope they get their new card reader soon. For their sake! The poor gal working was having a time but it was hilarious the process that had to be done to use it! Food was yummy as always!

It must be the week for BBQ at my house! Today for lunch - another first try (for me) - The Southerner from Smokin' Joe's BBQ. This is the best turkey sandwich I have ever had. (Southerner – $7.45 Any meat & cole slaw on top of sandwich). The turkey is large slices and the creamy coleslaw makes it perfect.

I sampled my husbands sliced sausage and it was perfection!

March 19th 2021. Just an honest review. Ordered beef and ham sandwich and a 2 meat dinner. Burnt ends and ribs. The only thing that had any flavor were the French fries. We both thought the meats were smokeless and tasteless. We usually order from here but this time might be the last. It seriously tasted like it was baked in an oven using no seasoning at all. Maybe just an off night.

An Olathe Kansas favorite, smokin' Joe's BBQ. I'm not really sure how long it's been there, but it's been there as long as I can remember. As always great service serves great food.Covid has really hurt these people and all your local mom and pop shops especially the restaurants they need your support. Go in and support them. To me it's a little on the pricey side, but it's well worth the money try the fried pickles they're to die for. Don't forget to put your name on the registry, after your 10th visit you'll get $10 off, it's like a free meal! Thank you Smokin' Joe's.#epoxybob

Ordered delivery and got a whole 1/3 of my meal. Only giving 2 stars because the mushrooms were good. Wish I could've rated the sandwiches I didn't get too!

Great bbq. Generous portions. I can never eat it all. Coleslaw to die for. Delicious and very friendly people. Google says they offer curbside and they don't. Just delivery, carryout, and dine in.
