Right up front I should share that I'm not a client, but a fellow caterer. I've had the privilege of sharing kitchen space with Chef Rich and Ambrosia/Infinite catering for over a year now. Their commitment to quality is unmatched. The attention to detail and level of care they put forth in their food and service is second to none. Their prices are the best in the business. I chose Ambrosia Catering for my husbands 90th birthday party. They did not disappoint. Coleen was so easy to work with and guided me thru each concern I had. The appetizers were excellent ! I received compliments all around. The sonoma torte was amazing, They set up beautifully and cleaned up seamlessly. They are my definite go to for catering.

Nice staff but bad service. Very forgetful and not knowledgeable and just very awkward. Not sure why they take our napkins and silverware before we were done? They forgot my order, got an order wrong. Waitress did a lot of things that really made us wonder why.My biscuits and gravy is exactly what comes out of the bulk can from Walmart and the frozen bulk from Walmart, I know because I work there and that’s what they serve us for events. Very low quality food for a high price.And apparently 4 out of 5 of us were allergic to something in the place. Sneezing, puffy eyes, throat reactions. Started when we walked in and stopped when we left.

Awful service, average food. They need to hire a consultant. The location should be a goldmine.Where to begin. We walked in to the counter to get a cup of coffee for the farmers market. Stood at the counter where EVERY server has to pass to place an order and run a charge. Not even eye contact for a full 10 min. We left, without coffee, to visit the Farmer's market next door.In spite of the initial snub we returned to have lunch. We were promptly seated at a high top by the window and waited, and waited. We waited so long for an initial contact, the table next to us was seated, ordered, served a big breakfast and left before our waitress arrived!When I asked the lady that seated us what took so long, she simply said "new waitress" placing the blame on the new kid. What actually happened is that she never informed the new waitress that she had us.Then there was the food. The adult grilled cheese had NO flavor and arrived cold with the cheese not even melted. A weak piece of tomato that even McDonalds wouldn't serve and the Extra Crispy fries were soggy and limp.When they offered new fries, we simultaneously head "No more fries" from the kitchen. When our fries returned it was obvious they dropped our fries in the grease, which I'm pretty sure is a code violation.The place has no flow. The order POS and the checkout are in the same area and there is constant congestion waiting for a machine to become free. Lots of wasted time by the wait staff to place or service a check.Place has been there long enough to have worked these things out. Staff seems to be working against each other rather than for the business. Good Luck.

I have been a fan of Chef Rich's food for years. He has such a flair for fixing everything in a way that enhances all of the natural flavors. The service is good. I would recommend Ambrosia Cafe for a leisurely meal and definitely stay for dessert!

Enjoyed our morning breakfast there today. Excellent welcoming atmosphere, great food, and wonderful service. Will be back if we are in the area again.
The atmosphere was great- staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. The food was decent. Fresh and cooked to order but lacked flavor. That’s the reason for the 4 stars. Everything else was great. I would try this place again and hope that the food is a bit better. However, for the price and attentiveness of the staff, I can’t complain. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, fun and enjoyable place to eat in downtown Overland Park.

Food is mediocre, weak coffee and the worst breakfast potatoes I have ever had plus the fruit on the side was warm. Girlfriend's dish wasn't any better.Positives were that the place was cute, and service was good and the owner seemed to genuinely want to improve the dish, but honestly the skill in the kitchen just isn't there.I don't know why the reviews are generally good, I am not the only one posting that the food isn't great I can only assume it is because generally the staff is friendly and so is the owner but your not doing anyone any favors giving 5 stars to flavorless entry level food, wasted my time and their time.Maybe they can improve over time.

My friend and I are always on the lookout for a great brunch place, and we happened by the Ambrosia Cafe. Not only was the food delicious, our server, Jesse, was beyond friendly and attentive. There was no wait (even after church!), the prices were low, and portions were huge. We can't recommend this place enough (and go see Jesse on the weekends!)

Food is ok, but similar to other cafes nearby. While the staff seems to be very nice, they still have some things to figure out in the area of service. The first time there it took 15 minutes for someone to get to our table and then served two other tables, that arrived after us, before us. Although it didn't seem intentional, more that the waitress was inexperienced or overwhelmed, the service from that point on was very unattentive and we had to go to the register to get our bill. While slightly better the second visit this past weekend, little had improved and service was still slow and unattentive for such a small place.
