If you crave Dim Sum, this is THE place to go in KC. Unfortunately KC used to have a few more choices, but nowadays it's only at Bolings. Their dim sum is very very good. I would say it is on par with some of the best I've tried throughout my travels including in many Chinatowns in different US cities. Boling's is consistently one of the better ones I've had. The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is that they have been raising prices like crazy. It seems every few months they will come up with a new menu with new prices.. Now the cheapest thing on the menu is 5.5 per small plate. I remember the good old days when they were 3 dollars and 4 dollars. For two people you can easily spend 80 bucks on dim sum if you want to try a variety of things. Service is hit and miss depending on how busy they are. Some days it's very very crowded. The waiting staff shares the waiting responsibilities, so you may not get a dedicated server for your table. You will have to flag down a random waiter as they walk by. I think they share all the tips perhaps divided equally among them. It's not a big deal, but I would rather have the same waiter/waitress throughout. But bottom line, for dim sum, Boling's is the only game in town. And you have to pay for this specialty and also for the good quality food they offer. I do recommend it if you have never tried dim sum before.

Need to update drink menu. Not all beers on hand. Need more choices of Asian beers like other branch. Food always great, spring rolls and lo mein are great.

Between the four of us, we ordered 4 dinners and 6 appetizers.Everything was delicious & served piping hot.The atmosphere was a little spartan unlike their Plaza location. The service was a little disorganized. But no major complaints. And 80% of diners were Asian so that says a lot.

My kids, sister, dad and I ate here yesterday for lunch. Took home our leftovers, go to eat them and I most definitely won’t be back.I love eating rocks in my Mushu… won’t be back. Think you owe me a crown….

Bo Lings is always a good choice. I stopped in on Sunday for a few dim sum dishes for a main dish I was making at home, they were very busy, which is always great to see. I was in and out quickly, with attentive service. The regular menu is great, but definitely don't miss a weekend dim sum trip at the 91st and Metcalf and the Plaza locations, very few places in the city do it as well as them.

Yum!! Came for the first time for dim sum on a Sunday, I got here just a little before 11 and there was already a line forming, by 11:15 the dining room was full. Everything we ordered was good! I especially liked the Beef Chow Fun here, the tripe on the dim sum menu is good too. I feel like everything was as to be expected, it was all good, but not blow your lips away or anything.

Just moved to the area and as a NYC native, I was craving dimsum, this hit the spot. I do miss the rolling carts but at least you can order each dish.m, and it comes out freshly made.

Food is okay for Kansas City. Portions have gotten smaller while prices were raised again. They used sharpie to cross it out on the menu and write new prices... Additionally, we were charged a 18% service fee for a party of 5. This location is not as busy as it used to be.

Despite the fact this restaurant is very convenient for us, we eat there infrequently. We find their food to be a bit lackluster. We decided today to give them another try. For an appetizer we ordered the fried Chinese eggplant. I love Chinese eggplant. Plus, it was new to us on their menu. Much to my dismay and given the fact they are a Chinese restaurant, the dish was prepared with common black eggplant, not Chinese. They are very different!! Seems like false advertising to me.

We go here during the weekends and it’s always super busy! Which is a good thing! Their food is delicious, a little pricey but every once in a while it’s alright! Service is always great! The tables and the dishes that the food are served on are always very greasy and oily. Just bring some wipes with you! Haha! Highly recommend the Shu Mai, Shrimp Chow Fun, Char Sui Pork and their buns, anything with shrimp and chives! Delicious! Be prepared for a wait if you want to come here and eat, it’s not a super long wait as well so it shouldn’t take too long ᵕ̈ since it’s always so busy it feels as if it’s kind of stuffy in there. But it’s not too bad ᵕ̈

Be prepared to try your lost, bland, and crabless "crab Rangoon". It should really be called 'Cream Cheese Rangoon' because all you have inside is cream cheese. Unfortunately, I frequent this place often because it is nearby. I will certainly take my business to Toro that is located across from them on Metcalf just for what these folks should dub ' cream cheese rangoon' and actually go to FLAVOR TOWN with a real Crab Rangoon!
