Fun Bar & Grill. We came for the 1/2 price appetizer, happy hour special, and we were not disappointed. Ordered the fried mushrooms and fried pickle spears. Both were cooked perfectly, hot out of the fryer, and delicious. The sauces are also really good, truffle aoli and buttermilk ranch. The best part, though, was the very large mushrooms. We will go back for them again and again. Service was stellar!

This hands down is one of my favorite after hour spots to dine at, and to hangout at. Not only is the food really good, so are the drinks! The atmosphere is chill and the customer service is impeccable. Kinley, the bartender is super personable, she's always kind & friendly, and she makes the best drinks! Drop by. It's a welcoming place you won't be disappointed!

The food was absolutely delicious, we got an appetizer called the kitchen sink...YUM! We went not realizing it was KC playing and was a little noisy but not horrible. When we got our food, oh my! I gotta start taking pictures of my food. My BLT Avocado was huge ? and so so good. Sweet potato fries are sweet and crunchy. We had a table of 4 adults and 4 kids in a full restaurant/bar and we had a blast. The beer 3,4,5,10 were amazing too.

When you see Burg & Barrel online, you might think blue collar joint. Go to places across the country like Founding Fathers in Buffalo, Gooski's in Pittsburgh or the Green Lady lounge right here in KC and you will get old school places that have become Instagram cool, some by being who they are, others it is more manufactured. I'm not sure what Burg & Barrel is. It seems to have a bit of a local crowd, but it also has the rust belt hipster crowd as well. However, what many of these places offer is an old school dining experience, something that is right up my alley. I didn't realize it until I pulled up, but I had been here before, around 10 years ago and I vaguely remembered it being good, so I had some expectations going in. I ordered the Smokehouse burger with a beer and my bill came out to around $28 with tax and tip. While they get a thumbs up for serving the Yuengling Hershey Porter (PA got to support PA) the burger itself was disappointing and perplexing at the same time. It was extremely greasy to the point it ate through the tomato and lettuce and dissolved the bottom bun, but biting into it, the burger itself was on the dry side. Not very good, without much flavor and required a knife and fork to eat. The fries were okay, but they tasted like fries you can get anywhere, including the frozen food aisle and the portion was on the small side. The service was okay, courteous but impersonal, considering for a while, I was the only one at the bar. Like in many bars, I noticed that the servers like talking more to themselves than with the customers. In a recent review, I raved about the service I got from Atomic Cowboy down the street, B&B could learn a bit from them. In 2015-2016 when I was here last, this area was pretty bare and choices were slim. Now, with the resurgence of downtown OP, there are many choices and places have to up their game.

Ok—. I love down the street and have gotten carry out a handful of times. My experience has not always been the best, and I feel like I have always given the place a little bit of grace because I order carry out and not dine in.My order and experience was exceptional. I really wanted a few things so I got fish and chips, a burger, which then came with both fries and tater tots, and I ordered an Appetizer of fried mushrooms. The fried mushrooms were fried to perfection, and came with a ranch dipping sauce, which was awesome, which was house made. The hamburger which I ordered the meat to be medium was 100% medium cooked and was delicious. The tater tots were crispy, the fish and chips was delicious. The fish was perfect. The only thing I missed for the fish and chips was tartar sauce. When I got to the restaurant, I somehow felt like they would have missed the malt vinegar so I specifically asked for a side of malt vinegar which they gave me, but then there was no tartar sauce. So honestly if I would have not requested the malt vinegar, sadly, there would have been no malt vinegar and no tartar sauce. At least I got the malt vinegar. Tartar sauce was missing. Everything else was awesome and my to go experience today was finally the experience that I wanted to have with this restaurant. Not sure what time will be like because it’s kind of a cra shoot and not always this awesome, but today was great. Yay!

I got the chicken caprese sandwich and side salad. They were so good. Hubby got the avocado burger and fries. He liked them both. He comes for business lunches frequently and loves the PBE burger. Our server was so sweet and quick to respond. Would recommend.

The family and i decided to try something new. This place hands down has great food. The best part of our experience was a waiter named Julian, he was polite, accurate, and prompt. You could tell Julian took pride in his job and did it well, you could tell he genuinely cares… keep up the good work Julian and thank you for such a great experience for the family and I.

The food was great. Very tasty burger. The onion rings weren't quite the hype, but objectively still good. I had to go 5/5 on food.As for the service, waitress was rather dismissive of us. She sort of acted like she had better things to do or that we were getting better than we deserved. It was kind of odd. In the end she wasn't too bad though. I'd give it 4/5. Overall a good experience. Good atmosphere.

Stopped in for lunch and sat in Michelle's section. She's fabulous. Super friendly, and very attentive. She took fantastic care of us, and was a delight to chat with as she helped us. Food here has always been 5 star, it's one of our favorite places. We spoke to Bree, the manager about how much we appreciated Michelle's service, and we'll certainly be back to see everyone there!

We were seated at Burg and Barrel watched other couples come in after us, they all had orders taken promptly except us. We sat by check- in podium , Hostess saw us never sent anyone over. We left horrible customer service will not have good things to share about this restaurant.
