The service was top notch. The food was delicious. My only complaint was the portion size on the chicken spiedini was very small.

not a good experience at all, sat at a table for 35 minutes in the bar area with my date, and finally our order was taken, ordered the Italian flag and cannelloni with side salads, others whom were seated after us got their dinners before us, when we received our dinners, they were cool to the touch, also the fettuccini alfredo had about a teaspoon of alfredo sauce on it, it took 15 minutes to have a side of sauce delivered, we both took a couple of bites from our plates and decided we were ready to leave, i decided not to complain as to not embarrass my date, our dinner total was 60 bucks and i still left a 20 dollar tip, sorry to complain but damn...we did not enjoy the experience at all

My wife and I had reservations for Sunday evening to celebrate our anniversary. This restaurant doesn't deserve the time I would normally give to review a restaurant establishment. The service was fair and I found the food not to be of very high quality. The waiter we had hadn't made any reference to it being our anniversary until she brought the check. At which point she asked if we'd like a dessert to celebrate our anniversary. As most places we've been offer a complimentary dessert to show their appreciation for choosing their restaurant to celebrate our special day, I assumed the dessert would not be charged to us. I was unpleasantly surprised when the waiter returned with a new bill and had added $10 for the piece of cake we ordered. This cheap move by the waiter was the icing on the cake to an already disappointing evening. In the future when we want Italian or to celebrate a special occasion, we definitely will be finding a different place to celebrate. I would encourage the reader of this review to do the same!

Busy, but we sat in a table in the middle and could easily have conversation. Live music playing, but not overly loud. Abundance of staff to keep you pampered. Food is always excellent. Highly recommend reservations.

Service here was top notch. Was treated like family. The restaurant was nice. I had the lasagna. It was ok. I prefer a red sauce that isn't so sweet. The $6 caesar salad was not worth the money. Had the tiramisu for dessert. It was very good. It was a nice restaurant to try but won't be going back.

Wow that was some bad Italian food! The sauce was easy too sweet. The mushroom appeyizer was tasteless as were the meatballs.. Service was good all be it the wsiyer a bit too chatty!
Love Johnnys, always come here when visiting family in KC. We love the small atmosphere the wait staff is always very friendly and helpful and always refills the drinks quickly. The food is great, the pasta has a great taste and is so tasty. Haven't had a bad meal, and been coming for quite a few years.

Went in for lunch on a weekday, It wasnt busy at all... Tried to grab a seat in the bar they said it was "closed" I was then seated at a table by a waitress.. She never came back after 20 min never took any orders anything, So I got up and left and when i walked out i even told the hostess and all she said was "okay" highly unprofessional.. 10/10 dont recommend this establishment...

Love this place. If you want a leisurely meal, this place is perfect. I had Mama's special salad, which includes 2 huge meatballs. Delicious!
