This place is a hidden gem. Hands down the best General Tso's Chicken I've ever had. The pork hot pot, shrimp stuffed egg plant and egg rolls we're all perfect as well. Authentic Chinese with very nice staff. The bad reviews here seem crazy to me after the delightful experience we just had.

Been craving fried squid for weeks! Love this place for late night Cantonese Chinese food

The place was filthy. I ordered a takeout of beef stew pot. It was extremely tiny when I got home and found out, only half way full at the small plastic to go box. The restaurant only open for dinner. I excepted every dish would be dinner portion. It was fewer than those lunch menu. The dish I ordered normally come with radish from other Chinese restaurants. There was none, see pictures, only filled half of a bowl, so tiny and incomplete!

Food was okay. Service was horrible. The waitress (maybe the boss?) was kinda forcing us to order more dishes than we wanted, and it turned out that the dishes have really small portions. We ordered one dish per person with appetizer and soup, but none of us was full after the meal. The lady was very rude. The restaurant was not busy, and she just stared at us waiting for us to finish ordering without giving us enough time to read the menu. Her hands touched the top of the glass as well. The desert made of peanuts was delicious though. But will never come back. It was a good restaurant before but didn't know what happened and caused the change in both services and food qualities.

Best authentic Chinese in the area. Less busy and better service than ABC cafe.

I got takeout and the boxes had a hole in the bottoms, everything smelled really bad and had no flavor. The crab rangoon was the only thing they didn’t mess up. Had to throw the food away it was so bad I couldn’t even eat it out if hunger.

This place is so good. Their jalapeño fried tofu is the best thing ever. I see some racist and judgmental comments below, but just FYI, it's okay if people don't speak "perfect English". How many languages do you know???Also, this place is very clean. So idk what Dana W. was talking about in a previous review. Also, I've seen a few reviews about bad customer service. I've never experienced that at all. In fact it's always been the opposite. So yeah, bottom line, the food is amazing and staff are kind.

Horrible. The place is an inspectors dream and diner's nightmare. The first thing you see-a dilapidated freezer liked with tinfoil. I should have left asap. I stayed. Was seated by a sweaty and very rude hostess/waitperson. It's hit, but monody wants sweat in their food. No lemon for water? Literally acted put off by request. Maybe trying to sell Soda from that disgusting refrigerator. Cans, of course. I persisted. I love family run places. I ordered something kinda specific, but not "harry met sally" style. Put out a 20 when food arrived and promptly asked for a box. I look down and there is chicken, I doubt fully cooked, vegetables and what appears to be mucus all over it. Left my hard earned 20 at table, left food untouched, and ran. The meal was 13.99, so I left a nice tip. Here's a tip, go next door to Panda Express. Friendly service, food ok. I don't love chains, but for 10 bucks, I got a smile, food and didn't worry my food would give me salmonella. . Jade Palace, at 95th ant Antioch by 7-11 was my pick, but they were closed. I'll return there again and again. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had-unfriendly service and terrible conditions. Good luck improving. PS the lobster tank looked 100 years old and had a cardboard top. If I was a lobster there, I'd ask to be out out of my misery.

You can't do better for late night eats in Overland Park than Jen Jen's! The clay pots are their most solid items all-around (I'd recommend the mixed seafood), and if you're looking to try something new, the shrimp-stuffed fried eggplant tastes *way* better than it sounds. Do note that the food tends to be on the saltier side

Very poor English and kinda rude hostess / waitress and not accommodating of any dietary request. Food was just ok.

Authentic Chinese cuisine, attentive staff, and affordably priced

This is seriously one of my favorite places to get authentic Chinese food. Everything is served family style; therefore, you get tons of really delicious food. My favorites is the water spinach and the pork ribs. Both are MUST haves whenever coming here. They give you rice, they give you a free dessert (when available), and the service is always great. Other must have dishes: Beef Chow Fun Noodles, Mayo Shrimp, Fish Maw with Crab Meat!

We had a quick dinner here. I ordered combination fried rice and fried ? balls. My dining cohort ordered something she had never had before and did not like it. The employee allowed her to send it back and order the staple, ? fried ? and ? Rangoon! The food was tasty. The restaurant was small but felt surprisingly homely. It was not crowded, thankfully. The service was great ?. The food was economically priced. The service size was very liberal.
