Incredible selection of food. Diverse, flavorful. Gluten free and vegetarian options. Seasonal menu as well. The staff was incredibly gracious and kind. Great atmosphere. We ordered the Pepper Basil Beef (best thing ever) and the Pad Thai (WONDERFUL). The cocktail selection was superb. Old Fashioned with a rose ice cube! How cool.Glad this location is in Overland Park! We are new regulars!

From the outside of the restaurant you'll think the food would be decent or actually a good " Thai " restaurant. The food was not it for us. I got the chicken Pad Thai no flavors at all. I was expecting a Orange Noodle color dish would come out and smelling good. No, it was not good at all. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!If you want good Thai food1) Thai Place2) Thai Chili Cuisine

Always a pleasure dining at Lulu's! This one (downtown OP) has an atmosphere much closer to the original location in the Crossroads than does the Westwood location, but they're all very nice atmospheres with great wait staff and management. The food is always outstanding! They got rid of my favorite dish during the pandemic (it had niche popularity), but it's forced me to branch out to try most of the curries and stir fries on the menu and I haven't found one yet that wasn't excellent. If I want a go-to comfort dish, it's definitely the mushroom curry (a red curry). Also, it's been my experience that the spice level is about half a level lower than the majority of Asian restaurants. With the rice dishes, if you're used to places that give lots of rice, maybe order an à la carte order of rice to supplement the rice that comes with your meal.If I'm eating restaurant food, I don't often get soup, but I often will order one of their 3 soups to compliment my entree if we don't get an appetizer, as all 3 are delish. That said... the Lulu's sampler appetizer is almost mandatory. Not only is the sampler all amazing, and an even mix of veggie friendly (my spouse is a vegetarian, so will eat the spring rolls while I get the crab Rangoon [real crab]), but try to roughly price out putting together the platter by buying each item à la carte, and you'll realize this is their fan favorite acting as a loss leader. Non sequitur: If you want to separate the meat free dumplings from the ones with pork without cutting them open, at least with pan fried (I mean, you're eating dumplings, might as well go all out, amirite?), just give them a gentle squeeze. The pork dumplings will feel firmer with less homogenous insides.Vegetarian options: Most things on the menu come with a choice of protein. There are multiple veggie friendly options, including: no protein (just the base dish), extra vegetables instead of a traditional protein, tofu (their tofu is very well prepared, and even as a non veggie sharing a dish with my veggie spouse, it's quite fulfilling and tasty), and impossible plant protein (we haven't tried theirs, so not sure if it's mock chicken, beef, pork, or your choice thereof).Don't forget your boba tea.Parking: The parking in the front is very limited, but there is a lot around the back where the Overland Park farmer's market used to be with just a short walk from to the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: I wouldn't call it "family friendly", but our kids do fine here (both under 7yo), and even though they're picky eaters, they love the fried rice. There is not an "American food" kid's menu, so it's a good opportunity to let them try something different than their usual fare. That said, it's a lot more fun without the kids.

Everything has gone downhill here! Customer service is non-existant, and people need to start boycotting careless restaurants who think they will always have a customer base.

Waited twenty minutes for a server to even say hello. Multiple tables had dishes from previous guests. After waiting and waiting we just walked out. Wasn’t even busy. Hopefully they get things fixed fast. Lulu’s on the blvd is much better.

This was the first time my friends and I visited LuLu's. It is on the quaint Main Street of Old Town Overland Park. It is right next to the clock tower. We shared our dishes. My pineapple shrimp fried rice was good, but the pineapple flavor was minimal. I would have enjoyed a few more pineapple pieces in it. I really liked the Pad Thai and the Drunken Noodles. Rich flavor. The highlight of the restaurant was our server, Brittany. She is so sweet and friendly and interactive. She is a delight!

I was excited to try this place out since it had good reviews. I was very disappointed. We got crab rangoon and chicken pad Thai. The crab rangoon wasn't my favorite but was decent. The pad Thai was not good. It was sooo sweet; I couldn't finish it. Definitely not worth $17. We normal go to Lemongrass, which is practically next door, and will continue to go there. I will say, our waiter was wonderful!

I would leave zero stars if I could. Truly a horrible experience. My friend and I went in on Valentine’s Day for lunch. Lulu’s is a well known Thai restaurant and I was excited to try it.The service was poor. I understand that it’s Valentine’s Day, but the restaurant was only half full. On top of that, I saw at least two servers maybe three. When we were there there were probably only 8 tables max. And yet we almost NEVER saw our server. When he did come, he was highly agitated and we could barely hear him, it almost felt like he was whispering. If he was actively staying on top of all his tables this would be a different story. But I never saw him. And my friend saw him sitting at the host stand for a majority of the time we were there.None of the food came out together. And it took a long time. We were excited to try the food but were left sorely disappointed. The noodle brother was bland and flavorless, I ordered the chicken medium and again…no flavor. The food is absolutely not worth the price. The table we were sat at was almost funny. The only table with no roses or condiments. I had to move the table just to get to my seat. It almost felt homophobic because we were two women. A strangely hateful experience.I was just going to let this all go because we all have bad days. But then I saw that they charged my card TWICE. Then my friends card was alerted that they tried to charge her twice but her card blocked it.Poor service, bad food and an overall disappointment.

I always look for at least 1 thing I can say good about a restaurant, but this was the most disappointing experience I’ve had in a while. The food was poor, had NO flavor, and took at least 40 minutes to start coming out even though we saw plenty of servers and the restaurant was barely halfway full. Our server was barely seen, and when he was, he talked under his breath. Both me and my friend’s card was charged twice. This was not a mistake, as our cards were taken away separately. First hers and then mine. Once is a mistake, twice is not.

The food was gross. I am used to the KC location off I-35 and their food is great! I don’t know what was going on, but their quality control at DOP needs work. Very expensive for gross food. This is also not a great place if you have multiple food allergies. egg, soy, shellfish, wheat, etc in every dish.

Food was absolutely outstanding! Service was great and the portions were perfect for the price. Food was fresh and would highly recommend. Best Thai I've had since San Diego!

Tried this out as a change of pace from my normal Thai place and not a fan, doesn’t taste like good, authentic Thai. Flavors just don’t hold up. If you want good Thai in the area, Lemongrass is right around the corner from here, and is delicious.
