I tried the burnt ends meal, but the meat was so dried out and chewy that I wound throwing half of it away because it wasn't worth the effort to finish it.

Sadly they reported on the news this morning that they were permanently closing this particular location due to staffing and pricing issues.

Thank you Plowboys! You fed my co-workers and I when the pandemic hit ! The nurses from OPRMC will never forget your kindness.

Tasty barbeque and large sides. Prices are reasonable and we consistently have leftovers. The 75th Street location is large with plenty of room for social distancing. Friendly and helpful staff.

I have ordered from here on 3 different occasions. My order has been messed up twice, online orders got ignored all 3 times so my order is NEVER on time, and of course now they have supply issues and run out of stuff. I keep hoping they can get it together so I continue going back. The food is good but everything that makes a business work these days does not work here. Disappointed again...

It's hard to stand out doing BBQ in Kansas City after all everyone knows we invented it! But the Plowboys have done a great job making a name and gaining a following for themselves over the last 20 years. Not only is the BBQ delicious but the boys are very much involved in the community and helping to feed the hungry . My wife tried the famous BBQ nachos and enjoyed them but admitted that she would have enjoyed almost anything on the menu. I had the combo plate with sausage and brisket. The portion was generous for lunch and I was very satisfied. This location is easy to find just east of Metcalf on 75th street with lots of parking. The dining room is spacious bright and clean. The staff may have been burned out due to the Thanksgiving holiday they weren't very friendly or helpful. I guess the quality of the food sells itself. I was also surprised to use plastic ware for in store dining. Overall a pleasant experience and I will definitely return.

Outstanding BBQ. Top 5 in KC in my opinion.

I've had bbq at all of their locations! I should have taken a picture of the beautiful smoke ring on the brisket, but I was too busy eating! Love Plowboys in person and swear by their rubs and sauces.

We left. We waited in line (there was one couple ahead of us) and it took probably 10 minutes for the employees to get their order taken and started. When I went up to order, the man who asked our order just kind of stood there and this female employee came up and started asking us piece by piece to repeat what we ordered (it wasn't a complicated order by any means). I asked her why the other person asked my order if he was just going to stand there and then she'd have to come ask my whole order again. She didn't have an explanation. The man that was slicing the meat was weighing the portions about 5 times each serving. I understand being consistent, but what a waste of time. Maybe that's why it took 10 minutes to make two sandwiches for the people in front of us. While I don't remember what I had ordered, I know we ordered fries and cheese corn. She went and got the precooked fries out of a warming box that had been there for who knows how long and then goes over and scoops some canned corn into a container and then starts just pouring something like nacho cheese on top. That really was not what I imagined for cheese corn. I told her just to stop what she was doing and we left.

Spending 45 minutes in drive thru to find out they only have chicken and brisket left. Dining room closed. Terrible.

Good burnt ends, and good beans. Owner was really nice and welcoming. Get out and support small businesses.

Good shredded chicken and pulled pork on our (bogo w coupon) loaded nachos. Also ordered kids menu even though it isn't posted, the brisket was moist airy and quite tasty. They have 4 BBQ sauces on their self serve (pump containers) bar. The order came quickly. Will definitely revisit, just won't get green beans (seems like it had lots of stems) or vinegar slaw (now I know I don't like it, smelled like alcohol and not vinegar to me, but looked beautiful). Just wish Styrofoam was banned as their soda fountain cups were not echo friendly. Nice atmosphere and even some cute patio tables out front. Cannot wait to go back and try their ribs.

Delicious! This gem is worth going to. The meat isn't dry, the sauce Delicious, the restaurant atmosphere is on point. Friendly staff, clean and super cool looking.

Pulled pork and fries were very good. I'll be back to sample other meats and sides.
